Stroller-friendly Suwon Station café with group seats: Jeong Ji-young

In short

Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters AK Plaza Suwon is a hand-drip coffee café on the 3rd floor of AK Plaza, directly connected to Suwon Station in Suwon, Gyeonggi. The writer and a friend had iced hand-drip Kenya Kiambu AA (7,000 won) and Ethiopia Momora Natural G1 (7,500 won). With department-store parking, a direct station link, an easy stroller route and group seating, the café was convenient for visits with children or for get-togethers. For a spacious, comfortable café at Suwon Station with no worries about weather or parking, Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters AK Plaza Suwon is a good choice.

I drank Kenya Kiambu AA and Ethiopia Momora Natural G1 at Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters AK Plaza Suwon.

Are you looking for a spacious, comfortable café at Suwon Station to go to with your kid or friends? A place where you can relax with zero parking stress, rain or snow, when you're tired of cramped little coffee shops? Here's my honest review of the Suwon branch of Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters.

Is parking easy at Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters AK Plaza Suwon?

The café is inside the department store, so you use the AK Plaza parking lot, and there are plenty of spaces. The stalls are a bit narrow, though.

Everybody knows parking near Suwon Station is hell, right? But this branch is inside the department store, so there are tons of spaces! The stalls are a little narrow, though, so beginner drivers with big SUVs, watch out for door dings from the car next to you!

Parking and the way to the shop at AK Plaza Suwon

Is Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters easy to reach from Suwon Station with a stroller?

The biggest plus is that it connects directly to the train station! The accessibility is insane..♥ It's great by public transport too, so I highly recommend it to moms on foot.

On top of that, the shop sits right between the escalator and the elevator, so the route for wheeling a stroller straight in is amazing.

Floor-to-ceiling windows over Suwon Station plaza and an open coffee bar

This place is a view winner. The sense of openness hits you the moment you walk in.

Café windows overlooking the Suwon Station plaza

Big windows look down over the Suwon Station plaza, which makes the shop feel even bigger. You can see a pattern on the glass in the photo, but it didn't bother me at all in person. Dirty windows are such a letdown, so the clean, well-kept glass is a plus ++++ and so is an unobstructed view that's hard to find around Suwon Station ++++

Inside Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Suwon

The coffee-making area is completely open, and everything my eyes landed on was clean,

and the cakes and desserts in the showcase looked delicious too, so waiting for my order was never boring. Browsing was half the fun.

How is the seating divided? Bar seats, regular seats and group seats

Window bar seats

Bar seats facing the windows

The bar seats face the windows, so I highly recommend them if you're alone or love zoning out. It's so open that just sitting there feels good. It was also a nice spot for two people to chat quietly.

Regular seating

Regular seating area with wide spacing between seats

The seating area is split into two zones, so there's plenty of room, and the wide spacing between seats is great for chatting!!

Group seating

Group seating at Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Suwon

Not many cafés inside AK Plaza have group seating, right? This one does. With easy parking and group seats, I think holding a group gathering here would be a good option next time.

King Sejong Lego, Suwoni mascot goods and café merchandise

Merchandise displayed on one side of the shop

One side of the shop displays merchandise, and browsing it is surprisingly fun.

The one I wanted most: the King Sejong Lego!!

Display of Suwoni character goods

My friend fell for the Suwoni goods (Suwoni is Suwon's mascot) and lingered there for ages. So cute, really♥ hahahahaha Browsing and chatting before the coffee comes out is great!!

Visiting with a baby? Restrooms and baby lounge at AK Plaza

The café is inside AK Plaza, so the restrooms are clean, needless to say, and there's a nursing/baby lounge in the same building, which makes coming with a baby really comfortable.

Selection of coffee, drinks and desserts

There are lots of coffee types, plus plenty of non-coffee drinks and desserts, so I think it works for both kids and friends!

How do the iced hand-drip Kenya Kiambu AA and Ethiopia Momora taste?

Today's picks were Kenya Kiambu AA (₩7,000) and Ethiopia Momora Natural G1 (₩7,500).

Iced hand-drip Kenya Kiambu AA and Ethiopia Momora

I came after a huge lunch, so I went for clean, light iced hand drip. It's a Suwon coffee hotspot, so how could I not have coffee!!

Kenya Kiambu AA (7,000 won)

Kenya Kiambu AA iced hand-drip coffee

Heavy body with a pleasant sourness that spreads through, and it was exactly my taste, bam! My bloated stomach from lunch settled with a single sip. I bet it would be amazing with Basque cheesecake, and I'm sad I skipped it because I was full.

Ethiopia Momora Natural G1 (7,500 won)

Ethiopia Momora Natural G1 iced hand drip

Ethiopia, with its charming light acidity! Clean and fragrant, perfect for a palate cleanser. My friend took one sip and said she likes the Ethiopian better. With good coffee, finding your own taste as you drink more is half the fun, I think.

I got to watch the hand drip being brewed, and even though it was iced coffee full of ice, it never got weak or watery to the end, which was amazing. (Is this what skill looks like?!?!? hahaha)

The "No Coffee No Work" sticker and takeaway cup sleeve

When your drink comes out, they give you a cute sticker that says "No Coffee No Work". Isn't that a line that hits office-working moms right in the heart? For stay-at-home moms too: no coffee, no parenting!!!!

Sticker reading No Coffee No Work

I had a little coffee left, so I took it to go, and the sleeve had the same phrase, so I finished on a happy, cheerful note.

Takeaway cup sleeve with the same phrase

Next time I'm definitely coming back for the cakes I haven't tried and their signature "coconut coffee"!!!

For anyone who wants a comfortable café no matter the weather, I recommend it as the tastiest coffee at Suwon Station's AK Plaza.
