Paju noodle house near Heyri: ₩8,000 bossam, Cheonje Guksu
Cheonje Guksu is a noodle and suyuk (boiled pork) restaurant in Tanhyeon-myeon, Paju, near Heyri Village. A couple with big appetites visited on a Saturday at 3pm and ordered a regular kongguksu (cold soybean noodle soup), an extra-large janchi guksu (warm banquet noodles) and two plates of one-person bossam (boiled pork wraps), where the bossam costs 8,000 won and the extra-large portion costs the same as the regular. The bossam is chewy with a chive sauce that steals the show, and the noodles are piled above the rim of the bowl, so portion size is never a worry at Cheonje Guksu.
