I was looking for a nice place to rest for a bit near Suwon Station, and I found a café with both a great atmosphere and great coffee. It sits inside a furniture store, so at first I wondered whether it was really a café, but once I stepped in, the relaxed mood won me over. This is Tteum Café by Oneplay Suwon Station. If you want a coffee and a dessert near Suwon Station, it's worth a stop, so here it is.

How do you get to Tteum Café by Oneplay Suwon Station?
Tteum Café by Oneplay Suwon Station is on the ground floor of the Fraunt officetel, which you'll see as you walk from the Suwon Station transfer center toward KCC Mall. The café runs inside a furniture store, so it has a different feel from the usual café.
I've been to cafés with this kind of theme before, but the furniture display area here was a bit bigger. It might be fun to come just to look at the furniture too.

What's the atmosphere like at Tteum Café Suwon Station?
Theme Cafe (Tteum Café, 띰 카페) is a premium, mood-focused coffee brand from Oneplay, as I understand it. Soft lighting and quiet music fill the space, and it feels comfortable in a way that's different from a noisy franchise café.

I thought it would suit reading alone or working on a laptop, and it's also relaxed enough for a long chat with a friend. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants brewing or hand drip coffee near Suwon Station, as well as anyone looking for a laid-back dessert café there.

How did the Seoul blend Americano taste?
At Tteum Café Suwon Station you can pick your own beans for the Americano. There are three choices: Milano blend, Kyoto blend and Seoul blend. I went with the Seoul blend Americano.
The Seoul blend is said to be roasted by a roaster who placed second in a world championship. When I drank it, the aroma gave me bright acidity first, followed by a smooth, clean taste.

The acidity wasn't too strong, so it was easy to drink, and the clean finish went well with dessert. Honestly, I usually prefer coffee with chocolate or nutty notes over acidic coffee, but in this heatwave that steals your appetite, it felt like an energy-boosting coffee, a perfect match. If you love coffee, I think you'll enjoy choosing your own beans too.

How was the plain croffle, and what about the wine-glass-style cup?
The plain croffle (a croissant-waffle hybrid) I ordered with the Seoul blend Americano had a soft, moist texture. The buttery flavor came through without being too sweet, which made it perfect as a coffee snack.

A coffee cup shaped like a wine glass, which I'd call the perfect "coffee anju" (anju means food that goes with drinks) setup. It's a presentation you can't easily find at other cafés.

Alternating bites of croffle with sips of the Seoul blend Americano, the croffle's richness and the coffee's bright flavor blended together naturally. A very satisfying combination.

Two kinds of financier
I also ordered two kinds of financier (small French butter almond cake) at Tteum Café Suwon Station. They had the classic texture, slightly crisp outside and moist inside, with a rich butter flavor that was great for a sugar boost. The size is easy to pair with coffee, so they suit anyone wanting a simple dessert.

How was the staff service?
What stuck with me most at Tteum Café by Oneplay Suwon Station was how kind the staff were. They were bright and attentive, so even on my first visit I felt at ease. With the atmosphere and service together, I thought this was a café where you'd want to stay a long time.

Who would I recommend Tteum Café Suwon Station to?
If you're looking for a café near Suwon Station with a nice, quieter mood, try Tteum Café by Oneplay Suwon Station. Coffee with beans you choose yourself, a crisp croffle, moist financiers, a relaxed space and kind service make it a comfortable café overall. I'm confident it will satisfy anyone who wants specialty bean coffee with a different feel from franchises, or who wants to try brewing coffee.
