What is Andrew, the brunch café near Sinjungdong Station in Bucheon, like?
Andrew is a brunch café near Sinjungdong Station in Bucheon. It is open 10:30-22:00 and closed on Sundays. The address is 28 Sinheung-ro 238beon-gil, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon, and you can park in the alley depending on conditions, or in front of the shop.
Some days you sleep in, get ready slowly, throw on comfortable clothes and wander out, wanting a coffee somewhere quiet with good atmosphere and then a relaxed, tasty meal. A place that gives you space, mood and flavor, not just a quick bite: that is Andrew, the brunch spot near Sinjungdong Station that Bucheon's Jungdong locals love.
Andrew has long been well known among brunch lovers, and I have visited often. The food, the atmosphere and the menu are all varied, and the staff are friendly, so it works well for a date or a group meetup in Bucheon too.

It is near Sinjungdong Station but not a noisy area, so you get both easy access and a calm mood. Customers do crowd in at mealtimes. It sells brunch, but the menu is more varied than you would expect, so you can just have coffee, or come in the evening for a restaurant feel with wine or beer and have dinner.

Andrew's interior and seating
Outside, Andrew has terrace seating and big floor-to-ceiling windows on the terrace side, so even from an indoor window seat you can enjoy the view. The exterior is fresh and green, and the windows are big enough that the view is really good from inside. The interior feels warm, with wood-tone decor, soft lighting and natural light, which makes it very comfortable.

These days many cafés are too loud or chaotic, but Andrew is moderately quiet and calm, with a relaxed feel.

The tables are big and wide, so they don't fill up even when you order a lot, and the mood suits a solo brunch too: quiet and unhurried. When the sun comes in, it's not just the window seats. Every seat is a photo spot!

Andrew's menu and what I ordered
Andrew's menu covers basic platters, pasta, pizza and other meals, plus a good range of drinks. From it I ordered the anchovy arugula pasta, the shrimp croissant sandwich and an iced americano.

Anchovy arugula pasta: too greasy?
Andrew's anchovy arugula pasta isn't heavy on the oil and is slightly spicy, so even people who can't handle greasy food can eat it without worry. Places that serve brunch almost always have pasta as a default, but some of it isn't very good and leaves you feeling greasy or meh. The pasta here is well balanced.

The salty umami of the anchovy and the aroma of the arugula make it cleaner and less greasy, and since the oil isn't heavy, it's easy to eat.

The noodles were cooked just right with a nice texture, and the freshness of the arugula came through here and there, giving it a richer taste than an ordinary oil pasta. The slight spiciness seems to cut the oiliness, so people who can't take greasy food can eat it too.

If you weren't expecting much because it's a brunch place, Andrew's pasta tastes almost restaurant-level.

Shrimp croissant sandwich
In Andrew's shrimp croissant sandwich, the croissant itself was crisp, and it was packed with plump shrimp, fresh vegetables and tomato. The buttery flavor was rich and deep, and with a fitting amount of tomato, the combination and textures went together well.

You first get the crisp croissant, then the springy bite of shrimp, then crunchy tomato and soft cheese on top. It's an easy, filling dish.

Andrew's iced americano price and refill
Andrew's iced americano is ₩2,000 with one menu item per person, and a refill is ₩1,000. I always order coffee with brunch, and the beans were so fresh that the value was outstanding.
The roasting date is written on the beans, and since they make coffee almost only with recently roasted beans, the flavor was deep, the acidity moderate and not bitter. It's just right to drink with brunch. Truly a Jungdong, Bucheon brunch café.

Is Andrew good for group meetups, dates and dinner?
Andrew has plenty of benedict and pizza dishes too, so it seems like a good place to go with several people and order a variety.

In the evening, pairing food with wine or beer would probably melt away the tiredness after work. The café is also prettily decorated, so it's a perfect date spot.

After visiting in person, I could see why Andrew is so well known as a brunch café in Jungdong, Bucheon. The atmosphere and food are both good, the menu is varied, and even the most basic thing, the coffee, is good, so it satisfies whatever your reason for visiting.

If you're looking for a café in Bucheon with a nice atmosphere and good brunch, Andrew is a must-visit.
