Shabu-shabu dinner in Byeollae, ₩11,000 basic set for two: Onjeongban
In short
Onjeongban Shabu Kalguksu Namyangju Byeollae Main Branch is a shabu-shabu and kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) restaurant on Siksong 1-ro in Byeollae, Namyangju. At dinner the writer waited about 20 minutes via Tableling, ordered two basic Onjeongban Shabu Kalguksu sets at ₩11,000 per person, ate them in order as shabu-shabu, kalguksu, then fried rice, and added gondeure (Korean thistle) rice and geotjeori (fresh kimchi) from the self-bar. Onjeongban Shabu Kalguksu serves generous portions even with the basic set alone, making it a good-value shabu-shabu pick in Byeollae.

How long was the dinner wait?
When we got to Onjeongban in the evening, people were already waiting, so we registered on Tableling right away and waited about 20 minutes, I think?! They send you a KakaoTalk message when it's your turn, so make sure to wait somewhere close to the restaurant :)

Atmosphere inside Onjeongban
The inside of the Byeollae branch isn't huge, but it works well for groups, and it seemed like lots of families come for gatherings. It's clean, so it's also fine for a date :) As a proper Byeollae favorite, it's bustling with customers every time we go 👍

What we ordered: Onjeongban Shabu Kalguksu ₩11,000 × 2! When we go to Onjeongban, it's always the basic one!! haha
Take a look at the ordering guide on the table too,

What's in the self-bar? The gondeure rice is a must
The Onjeongban self-bar has fresh kimchi (geotjeori), cabbage salad, extra broth, sesame oil, perilla oil, sauces, sokdangcha tea,

and gondeure rice (thistle herb rice)!! This gondeure rice is the biggest reason I love Onjeongban haha. It's so good, please have some 💕

The basic Onjeongban shabu kalguksu spread
Ta-da ✌️ our Onjeongban shabu spread has arrived!! The basic shabu kalguksu comes with shabu vegetables, beef, kalguksu noodles, porridge (fried rice) ingredients, egg, wasabi, fresh kimchi and cabbage salad :)

❤️❤️❤️❤️
Eating order: shabu, then kalguksu, then fried rice
Follow the recommended way to enjoy Onjeongban shabu kalguksu

Trim the vegetables into easy bites, boil them well, then cook the meat 😊😊 Enjoy the vegetables and meat together, and dip them in the wasabi soy sauce,

then add the kalguksu noodles, and it's noodle time again haha. The chewy, bouncy noodles with fresh kimchi are so good 😍 Wow, but I'm already full, shh, don't tell... The portion is huge!!

Still, I have to finish, so I make it porridge or fried rice, whichever I feel like haha. Throw in all the ingredients, beat in the egg, and stir-fry well, and it's done 😊😊

Full, but I can't give up my K-dessert 💕 Bite after bite I'm about to burst, but I take one more bite with the fresh kimchi... haha The fresh kimchi and fried rice combo is seriously the best!!

Dessert corner behind the cashier
Behind the cashier at Onjeongban there's coffee, slush and even puffed-grain snacks, but I was so full I might have burst, so I passed 🤣🤣

Would I go back to Onjeongban in Byeollae?
