Junggye Gogi Party Nowon Branch: location, parking and hours

Junggye Gogi Party Nowon Branch (중계고기파티 노원본점) is at 6 Junggye-ro 12-gil, Nowon-gu, Seoul, and it's open 11:30 to 22:00 (break time 15:00–16:30, last order 21:30). It's a 10-minute walk from Eunhaeng Sageori, and I heard the lot out front fits about 7 cars, so it's easy to come by car too :)

I wanted meat for dinner, so I was searching for BBQ places in Junggye-dong, Nowon, and that's how I found Junggye Gogi Party. It's famous for Iberico black pork and apparently a popular neighborhood favorite too, so I ran right over 💕

Is there a wait at Junggye Gogi Party?

There's a Catch Table waiting-list kiosk at the entrance, but luckily we got in with no wait at the time we went. They also have a lunch special menu, and draft makgeolli (unfiltered rice wine) if you fancy a weekday daytime drink.

The inside was clean with roomy tables, and even on an early weekday evening it was bustling with customers. There were empty seats when we walked in, but before we knew it the place was completely full, this Junggye-dong BBQ spot!!

How to order at Junggye Gogi Party

You order through a table tablet, and you need to order at least 2 servings of meat at first. After sitting down, I read the usage guide on the table before ordering :)

• Add menu items to the cart, check the cart, then tap the order button
• Order at least 2 servings of meat at first
• For side-dish doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), order rice separately
• One whole mushroom per table is free at first
• Set the 3 salts and 3 kinds of wasabi on your small plate for convenience
• Call a staff member for questions or any problems
• Restrooms: see the sign near the entrance

What we ordered at Junggye Gogi Party, with prices

This day at Junggye Gogi Party we ordered the Premium Beef Set, Iberico flower neck pork, Iberico sausage, plus a closing meal and dessert.

Once you order, they set out the basic side dishes first, and you can help yourself to ssam vegetables and extra sides at the self-serve bar.

Put Junggye Gogi Party's signature dipping salts (Himalayan pink salt, Andes salt, curry salt), whole-grain mustard, fresh wasabi and shiitake wasabi on your small plate and you're ready to eat :)

Junggye Gogi Party is known for Iberico pork, but is the beef good too?

Junggye Gogi Party is famous for Iberico black pork, but the sirloin, salchisal (marbled chuck flap) and rib finger in the Premium Beef Set were really good too. Ta-da ❤️ here comes the meat we ordered!!

Starting with the sirloin

They told us to eat the beef first, so we started with the sirloin!!

It's been a while since I grilled beef, and what is this sirloin?! ❤️❤️ Not tough at all, tender and soft, and so good even on its own. It's an Iberico black pork place so I ordered the beef with no expectations, but this Junggye-dong BBQ spot has delicious beef too :)

Melt-in-your-mouth salchisal (chuck flap): 3 pieces weren't enough

After the sirloin they grilled the salchisal, and it really melts the moment it hits your mouth... absolutely the best!! It was so good that I was a little sad you only get 3 pieces, so next time I'm going to focus on salchisal haha

Beef rib finger with whole-grain mustard

Then we switched to the beef rib finger

Grilled it nicely and took another bite 😊😊 The rib finger was great on its own, but dipped in whole-grain mustard the combination was even better!!

Iberico flower neck pork with myeoljeot (anchovy sauce)

With the beef finished, it's pork time haha. Junggye Gogi Party's Iberico flower neck pork, here we go!!

Wait, why is the pork so good too?! As you'd expect from an Iberico black pork place, when it comes to meat, pork is still the one... ❤️❤️ It's tasty wrapped in all sorts of ways, but the combination with myeoljeot (salted fermented anchovy sauce) was especially great, and even when I was full I kept eating.

Finishing with chadol hangover ramyeon and mul naengmyeon

The chadol hangover ramyeon (₩8,000) at Junggye Gogi Party had lots of meat and a rich broth. I thought about finishing with rice, but ramyeon someone else cooks for you is always good, so I ordered the chadol hangover ramyeon, and

It had loads of meat so it was rich, and true to a hangover ramyeon, I felt my stomach settle even though I hadn't had any alcohol haha

The dessert mul naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles in broth) came with vinegar and mustard, but the seasoning was good even without adding anything, and it was icy cold with lots of slush, a perfect finish 👍👍

Unlimited draft makgeolli and small thoughtful touches at Junggye Gogi Party

On the way out I saw the unlimited draft makgeolli... we have to come back for lunch, haha. It was a rainy day and they had umbrellas ready, and even free puffed-rice crackers, such a kind Junggye-dong BBQ place!!

Would I go back to Junggye Gogi Party Nowon Branch?

Junggye Gogi Party Nowon Branch had big portions and great flavor, and the staff were friendly too, so I left happy :) It's a neighborhood favorite and customers kept coming in even on a weekday, so a place with a wait clearly has its reasons, right?! Saved as a place to go whenever I crave meat!! If you're looking for a BBQ place in Nowon or Junggye-dong, I recommend Junggye Gogi Party 🙏
