Jin 1926 Dasan Branch: a lamb dinner before the jjimjilbang (Korean bathhouse)

It's been a while since I came to Dasan :-) Namyangju's Dasan is such a great city to live in! There's a big jjimjilbang (Korean bathhouse) here that I visit often!! Before heading there, I ate lamb at Jin 1926 Dasan Branch (진1926 다산점).

It's a 3-minute walk, so I left the car at the jjimjilbang building, walked over, and downed a glass of draft beer in one go, haha.

Jin 1926 Dasan Branch is on the 2nd floor, so it's a quiet space. Dasan's central shopping area is really well developed too, and it's full of great restaurants :-)

What's the best thing about Jin 1926 Dasan Branch?

Jin 1926 Dasan Branch is known as a go-to lamb spot near Dasan Station, and its best point is that the staff grill the meat for you. I personally love lamb, so I often go out for lamb and lamb skewers.

It was my first time at Jin 1926 Dasan Branch, and I left so satisfied that I'll definitely be back.

Bar seats, table seats and an open dining room

Jin 1926 Dasan Branch has bar seats and table seats, and we sat at the bar seats. The open feel the moment we walked in was lovely :-)

It was comfortable and nice :-) The interior is stylish too, and it struck me as a great place for a glass of draft beer.

If you want lamb near Dasan Station, please go to Jin 1926 Dasan Branch at least once. There's no lamb smell at all and it's really delicious. And the bean sprouts that come with it... amazing :-) So good!!!!!!!!!!!

Is two servings of lamb chuck flap enough for two people?

We ordered two servings of lamb chuck flap (yangsalchi) at Jin 1926 Dasan Branch, and it was really generous for two people. The side dishes were neat and tidy too.

My child is in a growth spurt, so I try to feed lots of meat, and lamb is just right for growing kids :-) Growth is nearly finished, so I try to eat out on protein-heavy meals as much as possible, and lamb is the best meal for that.

Maybe because Jin 1926 Dasan Branch specializes in chilled premium Australian lamb, the quality of the lamb was great. They proudly state that they serve only fresh lamb, and the meat looks excellent just from its condition.

How much is an extra bean sprout stir-fry?

An extra order of bean sprout stir-fry at Jin 1926 Dasan Branch is ₩3,000. It's a friendly price, and it's also a top-notch side to drink with.

The bean sprouts are just really good. I already love bean sprouts, and these hit the spot. Totally delicious.

Trying lamb chuck flap for the first time instead of lamb ribs

I usually eat lamb ribs, so this was my first time trying lamb chuck flap at Jin 1926 Dasan Branch, and I'm glad I chose it :-) Personally, I loved the chuck flap. Very good!!

Look at the condition of the meat. Even the color is pretty, right? Even people who don't know meat would say "that's good meat" at that color :-)

Is the 6,000 won Jin special rice worth ordering?

The Jin special rice (jin teukseon-bap) at Jin 1926 Dasan Branch is ₩6,000, and it's amazing value. Salty salted pollock roe sits on top of well-cooked, nutty gondre rice (thistle rice), giving it a savory depth.

It tastes great, and you'll finish a whole bowl in no time :-) Be sure to order it too. You'll be completely satisfied.

Staff grill the lamb piece by piece

The staff at Jin 1926 Dasan Branch grill the meat so, so well. When I grill it myself I usually burn a few pieces, so having each piece grilled with such care was wonderful :-) I really enjoyed it.

I just couldn't not have draft beer. One glass, downed in one go. Haha.

Skipping the beer with this food would be cheating :-) It was pure bliss!! I'll definitely go again!!! The good ratings are there for a reason.

Everything the staff grilled at Jin 1926 Dasan Branch, from the mushrooms to the vegetables, was delicious. Best of all, you don't have to grill it yourself, which is so convenient :-) Personally, I loved how carefully they grilled each and every piece.

The food is good, the meat is in great condition, and the staff are kind. Whenever I want lamb near Dasan Station, I'll naturally end up at Jin 1926 Dasan Branch.
