Why we adopted a third lizard at Crerism Incheon Yeongjong

I went to Yeongjong Island in Incheon for a day out, and at the reptile shop Crerism Incheon Yeongjong I brought home my third lizard, a Lilly White crested gecko. Yes, yes, I know~ I swore I was only going to look, and I brought one home again. That's number three already!

There is! On the 2nd floor of the Yeongjong Sky Star building, Crerism Incheon Yeongjong sells lizards.

Inside Crerism Incheon Yeongjong, every cage has a little resident, and just browsing made the time fly. As someone already keeping two, I know exactly how dangerous the words "just looking~" are, and I walked in anyway 😂

What is the care advice like at Crerism Incheon Yeongjong?

What I remember most from this visit is the staff member at Crerism Incheon Yeongjong. You could feel the affection for every animal, as if each one were their own.

I asked all sorts of things I'd been wondering about since raising my first and second, and they answered with a smile and were so kind. There was no sign of being bothered at all, so the questions just kept coming 🤣 For keepers, this is what decides which shop to choose. Having someone to ask even after bringing the animal home was really reassuring 👍

A rare species whose enclosure costs more than the animal

The rare species I saw at Crerism Incheon Yeongjong cost ₩120,000 for the animal itself, and the enclosure was a bit more expensive than that. The lizard is cheap but its home costs more! It has to be kept warm, so it lived in a temperature-controlled enclosure. I can't remember its name though 😂

The price of the animal wasn't a burden, so I wanted to bring this one home this time, but the kids said let's take a similar little sibling(?) instead~ With a species like this, you really need to count the enclosure and temperature-control costs before adopting.

Our new gecko: a Lilly White crested gecko

My daughter picked the Lilly White. Its white markings stand out and catch your eye in the cage, and she called dibs from the very start! She'd seen Maru first, so her mind was already made up.

Settling a Lilly White crested gecko in at home

At home I didn't handle it right away. I put it in its cage and left it alone for a while, since they say the first few days are an adjustment period. Then I fed it and decorated its home nicely!

Keeping three lizards: an honest take

At first I only meant to keep one. But one became two, and two became three. That's the scariest part! 🤣

The more there are, the more there is to look after. Enclosures, food, poop, so much to take care of, so for now I'll pause and raise these ones well~ Honestly, I can't promise I'll be able to stop 🤣

After bringing the Lilly White home from Crerism Incheon Yeongjong, the house got even livelier, and Dad has even more work feeding and playing with them! I'll slowly record how the Lilly White settles in and grows.
