Why I visited Car & Cook Changwon Jungang Branch, a great steam car wash in Changwon

Car & Cook Changwon Jungang Branch (카앤쿡 창원중앙점) is a steam car wash shop at 63 Yongji-ro, 1st floor, in Seongsan-gu, Changwon. It's been a while since I got my car washed at a place known for good steam washes in Changwon, so let me tell you all about it.

The car we drive now has been with us from our dating days, through the baby's birth, to now when it's a family car. I love this car so much that from the day it was delivered until before the birth, I studied car washing and did it myself. We used to make car washing a date, but after having the baby, washing the car doesn't go the way I want it to T_T

Putting it through an automatic machine feels like it would make all the hand washing I've done pointless, so I look for places that care about our car as much as we do. And that place is... Car & Cook Changwon Jungang Branch!

I booked a weekday daytime slot and went with my husband and the baby. The lounge at Car & Cook Changwon Jungang Branch is so nice that it was great to hang out there, and it's also close to Lotte Department Store (we call it "Lotte Baek"), so it's a convenient spot for spending time with a baby!

Before the wash: a family car with several seasons of grime

Before I handed it over, the side mirrors, windows, even the door handles were a mess. The staff asked when I last washed the car, and I'm the one who couldn't answer, hahahaha. I honestly have no idea how many seasons of grime were caked on, hahaha.

It got worse after spring, and between being busy and one excuse or another, my husband and I kept putting it off until we created this masterpiece (?), hahaha.

The inside was a mess too,, My husband and I both love being active and we take the baby out to the dirt and nature, so maybe that's why, with all the pebbles and soil we stepped on, everything was stuck deep into the floor mats,,

The car was such a disaster that I figured I couldn't leave it with just any car wash, so I made up my mind and went to Car & Cook Changwon Jungang Branch, which is known as a great steam car wash in Changwon. I left it in the hands of the experts. They explained a few things, and since we have a baby, the Anti-Virus Program seemed like the right fit, so I chose that!

What is the customer lounge at Car & Cook Changwon Jungang Branch like?

The customer lounge at Car & Cook Changwon Jungang Branch is a café-like space where you can brew your own coffee and watch videos on a beam projector. After the explanation, they guided me to the customer lounge,,

WOW.. I've been to a lot of car washes, but I've never seen a lounge this nice. You can even brew your own coffee, so it felt like a real café, haha. There were gorgeous videos playing on the beam projector too, which made it even better :) My husband took the baby to the department store while I rested here, and it was pure bliss (a mom's freedom!), hahaha.

I peeked out now and then, wondering how clean our car was getting~~ With at least 3 male staff members working on it, it went fast, and I could see it getting clean in no time!

How is the Anti-Virus Program different from a regular steam wash?

Think of the Anti-Virus Program at Car & Cook Changwon Jungang Branch as a more thorough care service than a regular wash. On top of the basic interior and exterior steam wash, they apply Medilox, a medical-grade disinfectant, to the interior, and then clean with Gion Quartz Interior Detailer, a cleaner that kills harmful bacteria!!

Finally, they sterilized everything with a UV sterilizer. The most touching part: they even blasted my baby's car seat with the UV sterilizer...!!!!

They told me it's less a simple wash than a step-by-step hygiene process, so it even improves the air quality inside the car~ Honestly, I might have just gotten in and driven off in the past, but riding with a baby, this really hit home!!

How long the steam wash takes and the result

The Anti-Virus Program at Car & Cook Changwon Jungang Branch wrapped up in about an hour. It was thorough and fast at the same time, haha. They could have kept going for all I cared (that's the pure bliss talking,,)

When I climbed in, the floor was so clean I felt almost guilty, hahahaha. Is this really the same car as before,,

Even the tires are clean T_T The sides always had dirty water streaks and looked awful, and when I drove, it felt like I had just wiped my glasses, hahahaha.

And the bonus water I found on the way home..!!

Is Car & Cook Changwon Jungang Branch worth going back to?

Personally, I think Car & Cook Changwon Jungang Branch was the friendliest and most thorough of all the steam car washes I've been to. The customer lounge is so well done that getting a wash while relaxing for an hour was a big plus too..!

For cars like mine whose wash cycle has stretched way too long, I'd say you can get them clean at Car & Cook Changwon Jungang Branch.. Highly recommend!
