Anyang Korean BBQ: 3 pork galbi servings for 45,000 won, Sannae
In short
Sannae Sutbul Galbi Bakdal Branch (산내숯불갈비 박달점) is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Bakdal-dong, Manan-gu, Anyang, that serves just one meat: marinated pork galbi grilled over charcoal. On a weekend visit at 2pm, the writer grilled 2 servings of marinated pork galbi, liked them enough to add a third (3 servings cost 45,000 won), and ordered mul naengmyeon (cold noodles) for 6,000 won and doenjang stew for 3,000 won, finishing with rice in the stew. Verdict: at Sannae Sutbul Galbi, the cold noodles and doenjang stew combo, which cuts the richness of the sweet galbi, is the way to order.

I had never once eaten marinated pork galbi in Anyang,, haha. So today I'm bringing you a review of Sannae Sutbul Galbi (산내숯불갈비), a place I'd recommend when you're craving meat in Anyang.
Sannae Sutbul Galbi Bakdal Branch: location and parking
Sannae Sutbul Galbi Bakdal Branch is at 44 Bakdalu-hoero 138beon-gil, Manan-gu, Anyang, Gyeonggi. It's open 12:00–22:30, with break time 15:00–16:30 (no break on public holidays or weekends) and last order at 21:30. There's room for 1–2 cars out front, and the free Anyang 7 Dunchi parking lot is about a 3-minute walk away.
It sits between Anyang Station and Gwanak Station, close to Anyang Bridge. It's also near Bakdal Market, so eating here and then wandering the market sounds like a great outing. Parking in front of the shop seems to fit only one or two cars, so I recommend the Anyang 7 Dunchi lot. (Parking is free!)

The vibe at 2pm on a weekend
The inside of Sannae Sutbul Galbi Bakdal Branch is clean, and there are seats in rooms too, so it's bigger than it looks from outside. I went around 2pm, after the lunch rush, and it was still pretty busy. Luckily there's no break time on weekends, so we got in right away.

Side dishes and the self-serve corner
The side dishes came out first. Not a bad lineup, right? They're all ones I love, so I was happy!

There's a self-serve corner, so you can easily grab extra side dishes.

What we ordered and prices
The menu at Sannae Sutbul Galbi Bakdal Branch is simple. There's just one meat.
- Marinated pork galbi, 3 servings: ₩45,000
- Mul naengmyeon (cold noodle soup): ₩6,000
- Doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew): ₩3,000
- 2 bowls of rice: ₩2,000
This is what we ordered. The prices looked good to me too!

Marinated pork galbi grilled over charcoal
We ordered just 2 servings of pork galbi first. I figured if it was good, we'd add 1 more later, haha. They say it's handmade galbi marinated in their own sauce, which got me even more excited.
We started grilling the moment the meat came out.

Since it's marinated meat, I flipped it often as it grilled. Heat control is the key, after all. The thick cuts were soaked through with a sweet-salty marinade and were really delicious. The charcoal aroma sank deep into the meat and made the flavor so much better.

The staff thoughtfully set up a mini fan for us as they left, haha. Even with air conditioning it's hot in front of the fire, and they looked out for us like this (so touched).

The ₩3,000 doenjang stew and mul naengmyeon combo
The must-order: doenjang stew! It's packed with tofu, zucchini and meat, and I really felt glad I'd ordered it. It wasn't too salty, the seasoning was just right, and it went great with the meat.

The naengmyeon is here!! I'm a mul naengmyeon person, and you have no idea how good it is with marinated meat like this.

I dug in hard with the noodles + meat combo.

And wrapped it in lettuce too.

One more serving, and rice in the stew
I kept eating it plain, then thought no way, this isn't enough, and ordered 1 more serving, haha. The meat is really tender and the charcoal flavor is spot on.

The new meat arrived. I also ordered rice to mix into the stew.

I dumped all the leftover rice into the stew and ate it with the meat. The stew is ₩3,000, and the value is insane.

Cleared it! I was going to go to a café afterward, but I was so full I passed, haha.

Freebies on the way out and the receipt event
On the way out I saw they'd thoughtfully set out Febreze and nurungji (scorched rice) candy. If you join the Naver receipt event, they give you pork skin or steamed egg as a freebie, so definitely try it. The pork skin looked delicious, and I'm definitely trying it next time.
Bakdal-dong Sannae Sutbul Galbi
Overall verdict on Sannae Sutbul Galbi in Bakdal-dong, Anyang
This place made me reflect on how I used to think all marinated pork galbi was the same. The staff were friendly and their thoughtful touches stood out. I highly recommend it for company dinners, family meals, or a casual meal with friends.
Personally, I recommend ordering the mul naengmyeon and doenjang stew together! Eaten with the galbi, they cut the richness and the combo is so good that everything tasted even better. If you're looking for tasty marinated pork galbi in Anyang, I don't think you'll regret a visit.
