Haepumsosaeng Gogi (해품소생고기) is a raw beef specialist at 89-1 Dongbu-ro 30-gil, Dong-gu, Daegu, on the Dongdaegu tax office side. It is open Monday to Saturday, 17:00-24:00, and closed every Sunday.

What is the atmosphere like inside Haepumsosaeng Gogi?

The inside of this Dongdaegu raw beef spot is super clean, and I liked that the space is nicely divided into private areas, haha. I visited Haepumsosaeng Gogi, near the Dongdaegu tax office ✨

It looked like there are seats on the 2nd floor too!! Anyway, I loved the vibe from the start~~ 👍👍

They say Haepumsosaeng Gogi doesn't prepare food ahead from the day's production, and uses only top-grade hanwoo in every menu item. You can eat with peace of mind 👍👍👏 A place you can trust!!!

What side dishes come with raw beef at Haepumsosaeng Gogi?

Before the raw beef arrives, the table fills with side dishes like beef porridge, seaweed soup, chive pancakes, fried sausage, japchae (glass noodle stir-fry), salad, tripe and jangjorim (soy-braised beef), so much the table could nearly break. Wow.. even before the main dish came, the side dishes were so generous that I was really~~ satisfied 💯

You could easily finish a bottle of soju with just the side dishes!! I think drinkers would love it here 🤭

I usually love porridge, and the beef porridge here was high quality and so delicious, haha. The seaweed soup was big in portion and really rich too. Totally my taste 🙈🙈🙈🩷 I was digging in with total focus before the raw beef even came out~~ Every single dish was so good. The owner's cooking is the best 👏👏👏

You know the seasoning sauce is super important with raw beef, right?? haha. The side dishes were already great, so of course the sauce is delicious!! 👍 Mix the sauce up well~~

How to eat raw beef on sushi rice at Haepumsosaeng Gogi

Interestingly, when you order raw beef at Haepumsosaeng Gogi, sushi rice comes along with it 🍣 So you get raw beef and hanwoo sushi in one go‼️‼️ Woooow~~~ The raw beef I'd been waiting and waiting for finally arrived, and it looked so good I was excited ☺️

Shape the sushi rice into a ball, put a piece of raw beef on top, and add plenty of the tasty seasoning sauce, haha. Wow… the raw beef was really chewy, springy, tender and fresh 😍 Having sushi rice come with it was the best combo!! It's good on its own, but this makes it several times better~~✨

Are side dish refills free at Haepumsosaeng Gogi?

The sausage and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) that came as side dishes were so delicious that I asked for a refill, and they grilled them right away, so they were piping hot and even better 🤍 The combo with the sushi rice is so good that ordering more is a must~~

Haepumsosaeng Gogi, the Daegu raw beef spot near Dongdaegu Station, won me over from the varied, tasty side dishes, and the raw beef was fresh and great with the sushi rice, so I had a really good meal 💙 I'd been craving raw beef so much~~ lately and found this place while searching, and even as I write this I want to eat it again 🥳 If you're looking for a raw beef restaurant in Daegu or near Dongdaegu Station, give it a visit.
