Today I'm sharing my visit to Songrim Bok Jangeo, an all-you-can-eat eel place in Siheung. You get unlimited domestic Japonica eel plus pork belly and chicken neck, so I'd call it the ultimate value stamina-food spot. Highly recommended! 🐟

Where is Songrim Bok Jangeo Jeongwang Direct Branch, and where do you park?

Songrim Bok Jangeo Jeongwang Direct Branch is at 4 Dasommaeul 2-gil, Units 109 and 110 on the 1st floor, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do, and it's open daily from 11:30 to 22:00. You can park in front of the restaurant or in the basement parking lot.

Inside Songrim Bok Jangeo: is it OK for a big group dinner?

I heard the Jeongwang Direct Branch can hold more than 100 people. Walking in, I was honestly surprised at how spacious and clean it is.

There are so many tables that it looks like you could grab a seat right away even at peak hours or on weekends, with no worry about waiting. There's also separate group seating, so it seemed perfect for a company dinner or a family get-together.

Siheung all-you-can-eat eel: price and menu

The unlimited refill costs ₩29,900 for adults and ₩14,000 for children (elementary school), plus a ₩3,000 table setting fee. At the self-serve refill corner you can take as much freshwater eel (Japonica), pork belly and chicken neck as you like.

Eel, pork belly and chicken neck at Songrim Bok Jangeo

Once you sit down, one plate each of eel, pork belly and chicken neck comes out as the default setup. They also bring a variety of side dishes, and whatever we needed more of, we grabbed from the self-serve bar -

A generous spread of basic sides came out, like perilla leaves, ginger and green onion kimchi (pa-kimchi).

Maybe because it's domestic Japonica eel, it was thick, and you could feel how fresh and springy it was from the moment it hit the grill. Just watching the surface turn golden brown made my mouth water 🤤

We grilled the pork belly and chicken neck evenly too - I grilled them golden and took a bite, and the combo of mild eel with rich pork belly and chicken neck was pretty good.

How to eat unlimited eel well: ginger teriyaki sauce and garlic

Make a teriyaki sauce with shredded ginger and dip the eel in it, and the flavor comes alive several times over. The eel was grilled perfectly crispy outside and juicy inside - the fat had drained off so it wasn't greasy at all, and the soft, chewy texture was a work of art 🍽️

I fell completely for the eel and kept going back to the self-serve corner to pick out big pieces. Even though it's all-you-can-eat, the quality doesn't drop, and it tasted no different from eel at a regular restaurant 🥹 I think I ate nearly 4 plates of eel and still never got sick of it - it was delicious 😋

It goes surprisingly well with the chicken neck, too! And that garlic. The garlic is really the key. Please grill the garlic along with it!
