Haeundae European restaurant, all-cream-sauce brunch: Bueokgan

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch (부엌간 해운대점) is a European restaurant on the second floor of a standalone building on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan. On a windy, cloudy day at brunch time, the writer ordered three cream-sauce dishes at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch: pastry soup, truffle mushroom cream gnocchi and abalone cream risotto. All three plates came out at once, and none felt greasy despite the cream. For fans of cream sauces and kabocha pumpkin soup, brunch at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is a satisfying choice.

With the air conditioning running at full power, Café Buajang is a great spot to escape the midsummer daytime heat.

Busan café for nut and walnut financiers before they sell out: CORR

CORR (코르) is a financier-focused dessert café on Yeogo-ro in Sajik-dong, Dongnae-gu, Busan. After a nail appointment, the writer tried five CORR financiers (plain, walnut jeonggwa (candied walnut), salt caramel, nuts and basil pesto) with an iced americano, and found the popular flavors turned over so fast that only one or two of each were left. CORR's basil pesto financier was the standout, refined enough to be worth a return trip.
