Uijeongbu café with window work seats and peppermint tea: Forerest
In short
Forerest is a large forest café on Nogyang-ro near Nogyang Station in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi. The writer climbed the stairs past outdoor sculptures to Forerest's lodge-like interior and ordered organic peppermint tea (6,000 won) and a chocolate Basque cheesecake (8,000 won) that was as rich and dense as chocolate mousse. Forerest suits solo work sessions, dates, groups and visits with a baby alike.

Once you put Forerest into your navigation and park, you end up facing a space that looks like it leads up into a mountain. You wonder where the café could possibly be, but just follow the stairs all the way up.

Outside Forerest there are lots of seats and plenty of curious sculptures, so it feels like you have wandered into a mysterious forest.

What does the Forerest interior feel like?
Thanks to the high ceilings and wide-open forest view, the inside of Forerest feels bright and comfortable. And like a plot twist, once you step inside, you find yet another space, completely different from the outdoors.
The music was calming too, so I felt healed the moment I walked in! The ceiling looks just like a mountain lodge. You can see the forest of trees through the windows, and that green mood was so lovely!
