Exterior of Something About Coffee near Sinnonhyeon Station

I was looking for a café with a good atmosphere in Gangnam and ended up at Something About Coffee (썸띵어바웃커피). It's near Sinnonhyeon Station, so it's easy to get to, and I'd been curious about it for a while because you can enjoy lots of desserts and baked goods together.

Once I visited, the antique interior and clean space left an impression, and the drinks and desserts were satisfying too, so I'd happily go back. It's a good spot for gatherings, dates or a café tour.

Driving to Something About Coffee: where to park

If you drive to Something About Coffee, you can use the nearby Yeoksam Cultural Park No. 2 public parking lot, which costs ₩600 per 10 minutes. After parking, it took about 5 minutes on foot to reach the café.

I came by car, so this is the lot I used. Parking at cafés in the Gangnam area is often difficult, but using the public lot made the visit relatively easy. On weekends or at peak hours, I'd recommend leaving yourself plenty of time.

Floor-by-floor atmosphere and seating

Something About Coffee runs across floors 1 to 3 indoors and also has outdoor seating. Each floor has a slightly different mood, so it was fun to look around.

How did the food and drinks taste?

Black sesame cream latte at Something About Coffee

Black sesame cream latte

The black sesame cream latte had a strong, nutty black sesame aroma. It wasn't too sweet, so it was easy to drink, and the nuttiness of the sesame blended well with the smoothness of the milk. If you usually like black sesame drinks, you'll be happy with this one.

Iced Americano at Something About Coffee

Iced Americano

The iced Americano made an impression with its clean, refreshing taste. It went well with the desserts, and the finish wasn't harsh, so it was easy to enjoy.

Hot Americano at Something About Coffee

Hot Americano

Drunk hot, the Americano let me smell the aroma of the beans even better. I liked its subtle flavor, and it paired decently with the desserts.

Yellow cheese dessert at Something About Coffee

Yellow cheese dessert

The yellow cheese (hwangchijeu, a sweet-salty cheese powder flavor) dessert was charming for its rich cheese flavor. The salty and sweet notes were nicely balanced and went well with coffee. If you like yellow cheese, I think you'll be very satisfied.

Mango fresh cream cake at Something About Coffee

Mango fresh cream cake

The mango fresh cream cake paired soft fresh cream with fresh, tangy mango. It wasn't overly sweet, so it was easy to eat, and with the moist sponge it's a taste almost anyone would like.
