Seongsu date café for a first soufflé: 2-layer fresh strawberry, 5to7

A soufflé pancake was something I'd always wanted to try at least once. While on a date in Seongsu, I went looking for a soufflé specialist and found 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch. It was my first soufflé from a specialty shop, so my expectations were really high, and it beat them. I'm happy to introduce this Seoulsup café that I was totally satisfied with.

Getting to 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch: how many minutes from Seoulsup Station?

5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is a 4-minute walk from Exit 5 of Seoulsup Station and within 10 minutes on foot from Ttukseom Station, so it's easy to reach. Being close to Seoulsup is a big plus! It's a good spot to combine with the Seongsu café street and Seoulsup, so I'd recommend it as a Seongsu date course too!

5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is a soufflé pancake specialty café in Seongsu, and its dessert menu is made up of soufflés only. You can feel how proud they are of their soufflés!

I didn't know it when I visited, but 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is already famous as a Seoulsup soufflé and Seongsu dessert hotspot, and it's even been featured on several TV shows. It's totally famous, you guys >.<

Atmosphere and seating at 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch: wood tones, terrace, 2F

I liked the warm wood-toned interior the moment I walked into 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch. The whole place feels warm and cozy 🤎

Best of all, the entire building is the café, so it's bigger than I expected.

If you visit on a nice day like these days, I'd recommend the terrace seats too 🍃 The outdoor space has a great mood as well as the indoors, so it's perfect for anyone looking for a Seongsu café with a nice atmosphere.

Even the walk up the stairs is full of warm sunlight and plants, so it felt like stepping into a little forest in the middle of Seoul! It put me in such a good mood 🍀

❗ The stairs up to the 2nd floor of 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch are a bit steep, so be careful.

Is the 2nd floor roomier than the 1st?

We sat on the 2nd floor, and it was much bigger than the 1st floor with more seats.

The trees you see through the window were so pretty at this Seongsu café, 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch 📸 The sunlight came in beautifully and the mood was great, so every photo turned out well. I wanted to take hundreds of photos here, haha. If you're looking for a Seongsu café with a nice atmosphere or a Seoulsup date café, I totally recommend it!

Fresh strawberry soufflé and iced americano: how did they taste?

What we ordered at 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch was a fresh strawberry soufflé and 2 iced americanos.

🍓 If you love pretty desserts, this is the kind of look that makes you grab your camera right away! The fresh, bright strawberry colors and the plating were so pretty that I couldn't not take photos.

If you like coffee without sourness

The iced americano at 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch has almost no sourness and a nutty flavor, which I loved. I ordered it because the soufflé seemed like it would be sweet, and if you don't like acidic coffee, you'd totally love it! I came for the Seongsu soufflé, but the coffee turned out to be great too ☕

I finally came face to face with a wobbly, jiggly soufflé. I'd only seen this scene on social media, so doing it for real made me weirdly excited, haha.

I quickly took a bite, and even with high expectations, the fresh strawberry soufflé at 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch was even better than I'd hoped. The combination of fresh, tangy strawberries, fluffy soft pancake and moderately sweet cream was so good.

Is the portion worth the price?

The soufflé was great and so was the coffee, and it's close to Seoulsup, so it's a really nice Seongsu soufflé café to visit after a walk. The atmosphere is great too, so I recommend 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch to anyone looking for a Seongsu café with a nice atmosphere or a Seoulsup dessert hotspot.
