Yuseong, Daejeon seafood restaurant: Buldak-hot haemuljjim, Seommaeul

Seommaeul (Seommaeul Agujjim & Nakjibokkeum) is a monkfish and seafood stew restaurant on Yuseong-daero in Yuseong, Daejeon. At Seommaeul, the writer ordered a small haemuljjim (spicy braised seafood) at the Buldak spice level, loaded with octopus, crab, shrimp, squid, mussels and bean sprouts, then had the leftover sauce stir-fried into fried rice. The small Seommaeul haemuljjim was generous and pleasantly fiery without upsetting the stomach, and the fried rice and sikhye (sweet rice drink) rounded off a satisfying meal.
