Gangnam burger restaurant, IPA vs lager with double burgers: Bas

Today's review is from Bas Burger, a Samseong Station spot!! If a place this good existed in Gangnam, I would've come running haha, the world really does have endless things left to learn.

Where Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch is and when it opens

Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch is at 16 Teheran-ro 114-gil, 1F, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Great location, right? Lots of office workers from nearby come to eat here!! The space is spacious and comfortable, perfect for lunch!!

This is a burger place I ran into while working hard with my boss.

Open daily 11:00 - 21:00 / last order 20:30

Oh, open every day! Just note last order is 8:30pm!!

Oh, there's a terrace right there. Very foreign-vibes.

The weather was seriously brutal that day so I couldn't even consider sitting outside. Coming back when there's a soft breeze would probably be paradise.

Seating at Bas Burger: 6-person table to solo counter seats

Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch has a 6-person table next to the kiosk, where I saw coworkers eating together.

Must be lunch hour — completely packed.

Time passed and it was just us left, ha!

The seats are SO~~~ spacious. This is a place where you can also dine solo!!

Free self-serve fries and the five sauces

Ah, and here's the amazing part.

There's a self-serve bar and it's FREE, seriously wild. That silver container has the fries in it. Seeing that heat lamp brought back memories from when I worked at Everland,,,

That warm temperature, so familiar. Mayonnaise and ketchup are provided as sauces.

You know how Korean Costco used to have an unlimited pickled onion and sauce system, but I heard some inconsiderate people took way too much without thinking and that's why the system got shut down—

Those of you reading my blog wouldn't do something so thoughtless, right? Hahahaha don't embarrass us Koreans, we're all in this together (sounds like I'm running for office).

I brought back these 5 sauces.

• Bas Burger house sauce
• Pollock roe mayo
• BBQ
• Ranch
• Honey mustard

Personally, BBQ is my style. It was surprisingly spicy???

Oh right~ so here's what we ordered at Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch:

• Buffalo Chicken Wings (4pc) ₩5,000
• Cheese Bacon Fries (S) ₩3,000
• Bas Lager ₩3,900
• Cheongjin-dong (IPA) ₩5,900

Ate it all up properly. There's also a pepper grinder in the fries area, so definitely add some.

Ta-da.

Ooh? The ketchup is a bit different from regular ketchup!! Has more of a scent and is somehow thinner. Munched away on this and out came my precious feast.

Double Bas Burger, 11,300 won

The Double Bas Burger. The lettuce looks so fresh it's almost fake, all bright green and crisp. Ah, no juice ran out — I wanted to see the juices flow.

Double Bacon Cheeseburger, 11,300 won

The Double Bacon Cheeseburger — the bacon is seriously thick.

If I get the chance next time, I'll go for this one. This was my boss's order so I don't have a bite shot.

Buffalo Chicken Wings (4 pieces), 5,000 won

Dipping the buffalo wings in sauce. So cute! My sauces.

This has that spicy-hot kick that just clings to your mouth — if you like spicy, definitely get this, no question.

The sauces really pulled their weight...

Dip fries, munch munch, dip wings, munch munch, dip burger, munch munch.

Cheese Bacon Fries (small), 3,000 won

Ah, too salty. I'm actually a proper fries lover, but this one, unfortunately, wasn't for me~~

Cheongjin-dong IPA vs Bas Lager: which one wins?

At Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch, we drank two beers: Cheongjin-dong at ₩5,900 and Bas Lager at ₩3,900. And it was my first time trying Cheongjin-dong beer.

Wondering what kind of beer it was~~ turned out to be an IPA (India Pale Ale) with more aroma. Rich, ale-like fragrance. The finish is bitter — perfect pairing for a burger!!! Is this a beer bar or a burger place?!

Bas Lager.

This one has that signature lager crispness — great~~ This was more my style personally!!

Is Bas Burger worth a return trip for a Gangnam lunch?

My boss and I kept saying how did we not know about this place~ hahaha, ㅜㅜ These days I've been doing a lot of work in Gangnam, and if you're looking for a solo-dining or burger spot, gather here!!

This place is truly like rain during a drought. Gangnam prices are no joke, but honestly, this place doesn't disappoint. If you're looking for a burger restaurant near Samseong Station, or lunch in Samseong-dong, come here!!
