Myeongdong jokbal with a retro dosirak lunchbox: Miss Jokbal
Miss Jokbal Seoul Myeongdong Branch is a 30-year-old jokbal (pork trotter) restaurant on the Myeongdong food street in Jung-gu, Seoul, a 5-7 minute walk from Exit 5 of Euljiro 1-ga Station. The order was the emperor's jokbal at 58,000 won, which came with sides including gimbap (seaweed rice rolls), japchae (glass noodles) and mukmuchim (seasoned acorn jelly), plus free kimchi kalguksu and an added old-school dosirak lunchbox. The jokbal at Miss Jokbal was chewy and tender with no gamey smell, and the dried radish with the house's special red sauce was the standout combination.
