Today I'm introducing a Magok Mexican restaurant I've been back to, and a great Magok date spot 👩❤️👨: Taqueros Magok Main Branch. A place with this much atmosphere in Magok? And the Texas BBQ is good, and the tacos are good too🩷? That's the kind of hidden gem it is in Magok GMG Tower. Okay, let's get started.

How to get to Taqueros Magok Main Branch from Magok Station

Taqueros Magok Main Branch is on the 2nd floor of Magok GMG Tower, close to Exit 3 of Magok Station‼️ Honestly, the first time I came I had a hard time finding it because you can't see the restaurant from outside, but this was a return visit so finding it was easy.

• Get off at Magok Station Exit 3
• Find Magok GMG Tower
• Take the elevator up to the 2nd floor
• And it's at the far end!

Follow these steps and you'll find it in no time.

What's the atmosphere like at Taqueros Magok Main Branch?

From the outside you wouldn't guess the atmosphere is good, but once you step in, it really is...🇲🇽 Inside, it's Little Mexico. Maybe that's why it seems to be such a popular Magok date spot!

And funnily enough, maybe office workers in Magok often hold company dinners at Taqueros? Every time I've gone, there's been a group of coworkers having a team dinner, haha. Interesting!

At Taqueros Magok Main Branch you order not at a kiosk or by calling staff, but with the Toss QR code on your table. These were the events running when I visited.

What comes in the Taqueros Signature Couple Set for 2?

The Taqueros Signature Couple Set (for 2) is a set menu where you pick either fajita or ribs and get 2 pieces of tacos with it. Choosing ribs costs an extra ₩6,000. The tacos are 1 fish taco and 1 crispy chicken taco, 2 pieces in total 🌮

Free unlimited nacho chips the moment you sit down

At Taqueros Magok Main Branch, nacho chips 🧀 come out as soon as you sit. They arrive piping hot, and they beat movie theater nachos by a mile✨ And the best part: these amazing nachos are free with unlimited refills!!! I was so touched, honestly.

How do the Taqueros crispy chicken taco and fish taco taste?

In the couple set, the tacos came out before the ribs.

• Crispy chicken taco: chipotle sauce inside, with Southern American-style chicken
• Fish taco: fried in a homemade beer batter, and the texture was memorable

Taqueros seems to be less authentic Mexican and more of a Texas-style Mexican spot, haha. I love American Southern-style Mexican food, so maybe that's why it suited my taste so well.

Why the Texas BBQ ribs with house-made sauce beat the fajita

While you're enjoying the tacos, before long the Texas BBQ ribs arrive......

The Texas BBQ ribs at Taqueros Magok Main Branch are seriously amazing. Last time I chose the fajita for the couple set, and that was good too... but the Texas BBQ ribs moved me more 😭 The ribs were so tender they just slid down.

And that BBQ sauce‼️‼️‼️‼️ I heard it's not store-bought but made in-house at Taqueros Magok Main Branch, and the acidity balance is insane. Better than franchise BBQ sauces. Even as I write this I want to eat it again, haha.

Honestly, when it first came out I thought, is the portion a bit small? Not at all!! It's plenty!!

Is Taqueros Magok Main Branch worth a return visit?
