I had an appointment in Gulhwa-ri, so I searched for a good shabu-shabu place nearby! This is my story about Wabom Mugeo Branch, an all-you-can-eat shabu buffet in Mugeo-dong where I had a really satisfying meal.

Wabom Ulsan Mugeo Branch is a shabu-shabu buffet in Mugeo-dong where you get shabu-shabu, lots of buffet dishes and dessert all in one place. The value and quality are good, and the atmosphere is great too! 🫶

These days, even one trip to a café for coffee and dessert easily tops ₩20,000, right? But Wabom covers shabu-shabu, a buffet and dessert, so it's a real bargain. It's perfect for people like me who think, "I really want a big meal today, but I want a nice atmosphere too!"

The biggest plus at Wabom Mugeo Branch is that you can choose between two broths. You can pick a refreshing one or a spicy one, and personally I really recommend the spicy broth! It's just the right amount of kick, and it feels like it settles your stomach!

You can also bring as much meat as you like, and my favorites were the woo-yangji (beef brisket) and chadol-baegi (thinly sliced beef brisket). Dip it briefly in the broth and eat it with vegetables... pure happiness. 🩷😭

It's also a great place for people watching their diet like me. There's a wide variety of fresh vegetables, so it's ideal for a healthy, firm-body-friendly meal without guilt after yoga, Pilates or the gym!!

Loading the spicy broth with vegetables, meat and seafood is a real treat! You can bring as much meat as you like, too.

Look at how fresh and bright red the woo-yangji and chadol-baegi are. I dipped them briefly in the broth to cook them and they melted in my mouth. The vegetables were fresh too, so I highly recommend it to anyone on a diet or looking for a healthy meal. 🫶

The buffet at Wabom Mugeo Branch is split into a sushi corner, a seafood corner and a salad bar. Shabu-shabu alone would feel like a shame, right? The buffet corners are really well stocked, and I loved it so much!

There are fresh mussels, clams, shrimp and blue crab, plus ganjang-gejang (soy-marinated raw crab) and saeu-jang (soy-marinated shrimp), so it's pure heaven for seafood lovers!!

It's fun to build your own plate with fresh salad, lotus root and all sorts of dishes, and it was super healthy too!

The dessert corner at Wabom Mugeo Branch neatly displays everything from fruit to cake and other sweets. No need to go to a café after the meal, since Wabom has it covered! Finish with the chewy ice cream in different flavors: injeolmi (roasted rice-cake powder) and green tea, and sprinkle on some toppings too :) And I wrapped up with cookies and coffee, haha.

Wabom Mugeo Branch is on the 10th floor, so the view from the window seats is lovely, and robots roam around the restaurant clearing empty dishes quickly, which kept the meal pleasant throughout.

Thanks to the service, the cleanliness and above all the impressive menu for the price, Wabom is a safe bet any time and with anyone: friends, family meals or dates. If you want a full course from shabu-shabu to dessert at a good price, Wabom Mugeo Branch really seems like a great-value spot!
