Why are Yangbokjeom's skewers called jumbo lamb skewers?
At most other lamb places, one serving of skewers is 200g in 10 pieces, but at Yangbokjeom you get 210g in 8 pieces. That's why they're also called jumbo lamb skewers. They have other signature dishes too, so it might be good to order those alongside.

We ordered 2 servings of lamb skewers and fried rice!

They bring the fire to the table, and the heat is insane. You can feel it right from where you're sitting.. lol

Side dishes and table seasonings
The side dishes at Yangbokjeom Dongdaegu Station Branch are pickled jalapeños, zha cai salad, pickled radish and stir-fried peanuts, the kind you commonly get at lamb restaurants.

Every table has cumin, curry and chaoliao seasonings, so you can sprinkle on as much as you like.

When you finish a skewer and leave it on the table, it rolls around, right? Yangbokjeom has a skewer-stick holder, so there's no risk of getting poked, and it was so convenient.

How is the egg fried rice (₩8,000)?
Yangbokjeom's egg fried rice is ₩8,000. The fluffy, loose rice had a faint smoky wok flavor, and the seasoning wasn't heavy, so it went well with the lamb skewers. The portion is big too, just right for two.

The bowl that comes with the fried rice was so small and cute that I took a photo, haha.

How are the lamb skewers for 2 (₩36,000 / 420g)?
They say lamb is softest and tastiest when you cook it only 80–90% through.

Here are the lamb skewers for 2 (₩36,000 / 420g). As jumbo skewers, the meat was nice and thick.

I took a bite of a golden-brown skewer and it was juicy and full of rich, nutty flavor. Above all, there was almost no gamey smell, so even people new to lamb can eat it without worry. Crispy outside and moist inside, so I kept reaching for more.

Dipped in the seasoning, the spices added even more flavor. The lamb's clean, nutty taste really came through, and I thought it would be great as drinking food too, but I'd come by car T_T Next time I'll have it with a Tsingtao.

Dip the skewers in seasoning and eat with pickled radish
It also went really well with the pickled radish served as a side dish at Yangbokjeom Dongdaegu Station Branch. Dip a lamb skewer in the seasoning and eat it with the pickled radish: the best combo!!
The interior was kept clean, and above all the staff were super kind, so I felt comfortable throughout the meal. It's near Dongdaegu Station, so it's easy to get to, and I think it's just right for dinner after work or a get-together. I recommend Yangbokjeom Dongdaegu Station Branch!!
