Why I tried biophoton care at Esthetic Healingsu for cold hands and feet

As the weather gets colder and I move around less, I've been caring about body circulation and puffiness as much as skin care. So I tried the [biophoton care], said to be great for circulation, at Esthetic Healingsu in Dongdaesin-dong.

Where is Esthetic Healingsu in Dongdaesin, Busan, and how do you get there?

Esthetic Healingsu is at 47 Daeyeong-ro, 2nd floor, Seo-gu, Busan, a 2-minute walk from Exit 6 of Dongdaesin Station, so it's super easy to reach. The salon is on the 2nd floor!! You can park for 1 hour at the Haegung Agujjim lot, and you book through Naver Booking. Hours are 9:30-20:00 on weekdays and 10:00-15:30 on Saturdays, and it's closed on Sundays.

Esthetic Healingsu is known by word of mouth as a go-to spot for bridal care in Dongdaesin, so my expectations were high 🥹

What is biophoton care?

Biophoton care reportedly works by using PDP living-light wavelength energy to raise body temperature. Esthetic Healingsu lists the following effects.

• Raises body temperature to boost immunity
• Releases cold and toxins
• Lowers body fat and visceral fat
• Improves blood circulation

Before the session, they explained biophoton to me: it's a machine that raises your body temperature, induces sweating and helps circulation. That said, sweating a lot doesn't mean you lose that much body fat, so the actual fat-loss effect needs to be checked separately!

How much does biophoton care cost at Esthetic Healingsu?

Esthetic Healingsu's full-body circulation detox care includes both biophoton and radio frequency care, at ₩50,000 for 1 session or ₩350,000 for 10 sessions, and Ppaerapi is ₩70,000 for a one-time trial. The prices are decent, so it seems perfect for bridal care..!!

How does a biophoton session work?

Biophoton is a sweaty treatment, so before it you change into disposable underwear and a robe.

At Esthetic Healingsu they take an InBody (body composition) reading before and after biophoton care, and being able to see the actual numbers made me trust it more.

The biophoton machine for someone with cold hands and feet

This is the biophoton machine. I understand it's used to raise body temperature and immunity, and since my hands and feet are always cold, I figured it would work well for me, so I was excited haha

40 minutes in a 55°C biophoton machine: does it feel stuffy?

You stay inside the machine, set to 55°C, for 40 minutes. I worried it would feel stuffy, but your face stays outside, so maybe that's why it wasn't stuffy at all, just nice and toasty!!

For the first 15 minutes or so it was just pleasantly warm, but after a while the sweat started pouring 💦 I sweat a lot anyway, so my whole body was drenched like rain..!!

I lay there warm and slept for about 40 minutes. I'd come straight from work, so I felt all drowsy and totally healed...🩶 It doesn't hurt and you just lie still, so it was super comfortable. What a great world for dieting, lol

How did InBody results change before and after biophoton care?

After biophoton care at Esthetic Healingsu, the writer measured InBody again and compared: weight was the same before and after, but the body composition numbers changed!! Body fat mass went from 13.0kg to 11.7kg and muscle mass from 38.8kg to 40.0kg. That's 1.3kg less body fat and 1.2kg more muscle.

And my waist also went from 71.2cm to 69.7cm, down 1.5cm!!

Is biophoton care worth it for cold hands and feet or bridal prep?

There's no downtime, yet the body fat and waist numbers changed like this, so it's totally perfect for bridal care••• If you keep going, I think you could cover dieting, circulation and health all at once!! I tend to have cold hands and feet, and my feet stayed warm until that night, which was so amazing 🥹 I think it'd be great for anyone with cold hands and feet too haha
