Busan facial for combination skin and nose sebum: Esthetic Healingsu

Lately every time I wash my face, the blackheads around my nose seem to stand out more, and the surface feels shiny while underneath feels dry. I figured it was time for a facial. So this time I went to Esthetic Healingsu in Daesin-dong, Busan for an aquapeel + décolleté + LED dome treatment. On the skin side I didn't want to do a million things — I just wanted my stubborn blackheads cleared out properly, and this treatment was exactly what I was looking for haha.

Where is Esthetic Healingsu in Daesin-dong, Busan?

Esthetic Healingsu is on the 2nd floor of a building at 47 Daeyeong-ro, Seo-gu, Busan. Once you go up to the 2nd floor, the sign is right there at the entrance, so it wasn't hard to find.

As you can see in the photos, besides skincare they also run various body, contouring, and diet-related programs. There's a separate bridal care program too, so if you're a bride-to-be in Busan looking for a Nampo-dong bridal esthetic, this could be worth checking out too. That day I skipped everything else and came purely to focus on clearing the blackheads on my face. Haha.

Inside there was information on the director's background and the treatment programs. I came alone, so I briefly explained my skin condition before going straight into the aquapeel treatment. They quickly picked up on the fact that my skin has oil only in the T-zone while the rest is dry — combination skin. This ambiguous skin type has always been kind of annoying to manage; I want hydration but hate anything too heavy.

From cleansing to aquapeel: how the facial goes, step by step

Healingsu's aquapeel treatment starts with a thorough cleansing. After that, they go over the whole face with the aquapeel — not just a quick pass, but they paid quite detailed attention to the areas I was most concerned about, like around my nose where the blackheads were.

They start the aquapeel from the neck and collarbone line! Especially when clearing the blackheads on my nose, I was like, ah, this is why people get aquapeel treatments — it felt so satisfying. No matter how hard I cleanse at home or use nose strips, sometimes I just end up irritating my skin, but getting it properly cleared out like this felt refreshing. Best, best!

And what I liked was that the treatment didn't just end after removing the blackheads! After the aquapeel, they filled my skin with plenty of hydration according to my skin condition. Since they'd immediately caught that I have combination skin, by the end my skin felt properly moisturized rather than stripped and dry.

The surprise favourite: the décolleté massage

Healingsu's treatment also includes a décolleté massage, and it was way more refreshing than I expected. I came in for a facial, but having my neck and shoulders loosened up too made the whole experience much more satisfying than just getting blackheads cleared and leaving.

I'm the type who feels a little disappointed if the massage pressure is too weak — like, did I even get a massage? — but here I definitely felt that refreshed feeling afterward. Personally, clearing the nose blackheads and the décolleté massage were the top two highlights of the day.

Finishing with a hydrating mask and the LED dome

After clearing the blackheads and adding hydration, they calmed my skin down with a mask.

At the very end came the LED dome treatment. Lying there with a mask on my face and the LED dome on top, from this point it was basically just resting time haha. I liked how the whole process flowed together as one — thoroughly clearing the blackheads and then moving straight into hydration and soothing.

Before and after: how did the sebum around the nose change?

Before the treatment, the skin around my nose in particular looked rough and congested, which bothered me.

After it was done, my skin overall looked much more refined, and what I liked most was how smooth it felt to the touch. The area around my nose that I'd been so concerned about was cleared up, so I kept checking the mirror and touching it haha. And since they gave my skin plenty of hydration, even after the blackhead extraction my skin didn't feel tight or dry — it finished moisturized, which satisfied me the most.

This time, having my nose cleared up neatly was nice, but what satisfied me most was getting my décolleté loosened up and my skin fully hydrated too. If I go again, I think I'll come back for another aquapeel whenever the blackheads start bothering me again~
