Today I want to introduce a café I visited while hanging out in Songjeong — the vibe was just too good not to share.

What kind of Songjeong café is Suwolgyeonghwa?
Songjeong has so many cafés with sea views, but Suwolgyeonghwa feels a bit different from the usual ocean-view café — it's a tea café where you can enjoy traditional tea and dessert, so the atmosphere is quiet and calm, perfect for spending time at a leisurely pace. Great for sipping tea while gazing at the sea, haha.
3rd floor vs 4th floor at Suwolgyeonghwa, and when the 3rd floor closes
Suwolgyeonghwa operates on both the 3rd and 4th floors of the building, and each floor has a slightly different feel, so you can enjoy two different vibes haha.
Also, the 3rd floor is said to close sometime between 6pm and 7pm, so if you're planning to visit later in the day, it's worth keeping in mind! The Songjeong sea view from the window seats is especially pretty, and it'd probably look even nicer on a clear day.
The morning and evening concepts are a bit different too, so the mood seems to change depending on when you visit! It might be nice to pick a time based on whether you prefer a daytime or evening atmosphere :)

That day I ordered Louis Velvet tea (₩8,500), chestnut sikhye (₩8,000), a Dalbodre Box (₩13,000), and an Americano (₩6,500)!
Louis Velvet tea, 8,500 won
First up, Louis Velvet tea! Doesn't the name alone sound pretty, haha. Unlike a typical café that only has Americano and lattes, Suwolgyeonghwa has several kinds of tea, so it's fun just picking what to order.
The tea's aroma isn't too strong — it has this faint chocolate-ish note that goes down easily and works for pretty much anyone haha. My parents said it was delicious too. This is the only tea I get whenever I visit Suwolgyeonghwa!
Chestnut sikhye, 8,000 won
And the reliably good chestnut sikhye (sweet rice punch)! It's sikhye with chestnut added, so it has a traditional feel that really suits Suwolgyeonghwa's atmosphere. If you like traditional drinks, this one's worth trying :) It seems like the kind of menu item parents would especially love if you're visiting together!
Dalbodre Box, 13,000 won
And you can't skip the Dalbodre Box at Suwolgyeonghwa! It comes with various traditional snacks arranged so prettily that you can't help but photograph it the moment it lands on the table haha. Rather than colorful desserts, it has an overall calm, refined feel that really matches Suwolgyeonghwa's atmosphere.
Eating a piece with tea felt totally different from having cake or bread! It's worth trying at least once, whether you already love traditional snacks or you've rarely tried this kind of dessert haha. I'd recommend ordering it if it's your first visit 🤍
Is Suwolgyeonghwa worth adding to a Songjeong day trip?
It was a good place to take it slow — watching the sea, drinking tea, and enjoying traditional snacks. Walking Songjeong Beach and then unwinding over tea at Suwolgyeonghwa is a great combo! It feels especially fitting if you're visiting Songjeong with parents or family.
What sets Suwolgyeonghwa apart from a typical café is that you get the Songjeong sea, traditional tea, and traditional dessert all at once. I'd especially recommend it if you want to sip tea by a window overlooking the sea, or if you're looking for a Songjeong café that's a bit different from the usual franchise coffee shop 🌊🤍
