Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza in Gunpo: why not eat in instead of ordering delivery?

At Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza, Gunpo Branch (자가제빵선명희피자 군포점), eating in gets you a black rice dough pizza that's far crispier and hotter than delivery. I was craving a freshly baked pizza straight from the oven, so I headed to the Seonmyeonghui Pizza branch near Sanbon. I already love the chewy texture of black rice dough, and eating in instead of delivery made it even crispier and hotter. I went home totally satisfied.

The Gunpo branch is close to Sanbon Station and the Dang-dong commercial area, so it's easy to reach by car and just as easy by public transport. The inside is pleasant and neatly kept, which makes it a great place to stop by for a meal with family or friends.

There are plenty of tables and the place is big enough for a group. Delivery is nice, but this is a great space to come in for pizza and beer.

What comes in the dine-in combo set?

The dine-in combo set at the Gunpo branch gives you a medium pizza plus wings, drumettes, fries and salad all at once. I was browsing the menu, spotted this well-stocked set, and ordered it right away. The value is excellent.

How do the mozzarella cheese pizza and black rice dough taste?

The aroma of savory cheese hit my nose the moment the mozzarella cheese pizza arrived. It came fresh out of the oven, so the cheese stretched on and on, and with the first bite a rich, melty flavor filled my whole mouth.

Seonmyeonghui Pizza is said to use Jindo black rice dough kneaded by hand every morning, and maybe that's why even the crust had no dryness at all; it was chewy and nutty. Toppings and cheese filled the crust right to the end, so I finished every bit.

The wings and drumettes in the set were nicely seasoned and slightly salty, perfect as beer snacks (note: I didn't actually drink beer), and the fries were freshly fried with a wonderfully crispy texture.

The pizza dipping sauce went well with the pizza too and tasted good.

Is it good for pizza and beer while watching sports on the big screen?

One of the biggest charms of the Gunpo branch is the big screen set up on one side of the restaurant! Sports were on when I visited, and with a cold drink or a glass of beer the atmosphere for watching a baseball game was great. (When will Lotte start playing good baseball....)

A great-value set price, high-quality pizza and sides, and a pleasant restaurant: all three came together, and I felt really good the whole meal. Delivery is tasty too, but after trying hot black rice pizza fresh from the oven in the restaurant, I thought I should come in more often.

₩5,000 off for takeout pickup

The Gunpo branch also gives ₩5,000 off when you pick up a pizza for takeout, so if you live nearby, pickup looks like a good-value choice too.

Wrap-up: do I recommend it as a Sanbon pizza spot?
