Eating breakfast felt like too much, but if I skipped it, I was hungry all morning, so I was looking for a simple meal replacement. Since I usually like oatmeal and oat drinks, I tried Garu Seonsaeng Oat Drink. It dissolved well in cold water and milk with almost no clumps, which made it easy to prepare.

What are the oat aroma and sweetness like?
The package was simple and easy to keep in one corner of the kitchen for whenever I wanted it. When I first opened it, I noticed a nutty oat aroma that felt subtle and mild rather than artificial to me.

It tasted nutty and was not overly sweet. I tend to tire quickly of strongly sweet meal replacements, but this drink was mild, so I reached for it often. It was easy to drink on mornings when I needed to get myself ready while looking after my child.

How did it differ mixed with water and milk?
Mixed with milk, it was slightly smooth like a latte and felt reasonably filling. After working out, I tried it mixed with water, and it dissolved well even in cold water. To my taste, it was not chalky and felt less heavy than other oat drinks I had tried.

Does it mix well in cold milk?
At first, I tried mixing it with milk in a tumbler. I thought it would be convenient to make right away while getting ready for work and carry with me.

Even though the milk was cold, it quickly mixed smoothly after I shook the tumbler a few times. I found it convenient that almost no clumps remained when drinking it.

Was it easy to have on busy mornings or while out?
Preparation was simple: I just put the product and milk in a tumbler and shook it. It was also easy to drink in the car on my way to work or while waiting for my child at an academy.

The texture was smoother than I expected and easy to swallow. In my case, it did not feel burdensome even on an empty stomach in the morning, and one serving left me less hungry until lunch. Having it instead of bread or snacks also felt like it reduced my snacking. At home, I mixed it with milk, and when I went out, I mixed it with water.

Why did I keep reaching for it?
I liked the nutty taste and the simple preparation. It tasted even better when I added ice to a tumbler and shook it. My child took a sip and said it tasted nutty, which made me think it would be fine to drink with my family too.

It was also convenient to keep in one corner of the kitchen and take out every day. I found myself having it often because I could add only water or milk when I was hungry, on busy mornings, or after working out. For me, the most satisfying points were that it was not too sweet and mixed well even in cold water.
