Why I looked for an oat drink for busy mornings
While getting the children ready for school, there were many days when I could not properly take care of my own breakfast. I was looking for something easy to have and tried Garuseonsaeng Mix-in Oat Drink.

At first, I expected an ordinary oat drink, but it was richer and nuttier than I expected. My husband and child enjoyed it too.

What kind of oats does it use?
According to the product description, it is made with whole Canadian oats, including their hulls.

I liked the description saying that it lets you consume beta-glucan and dietary fiber together. I usually do not eat something if it takes too much preparation, but I reached for this product often because it was easy to mix and drink.

Can you drink it without preparing the night before?
The most convenient part was the preparation. I did not need to soak, blend, or strain oats myself; I just added water or milk and mixed it.

Unlike overnight oatmeal, I could make and drink it straight away in the morning without preparing it the night before. It was convenient because it cut down the time needed to prepare breakfast when I was busy getting the children ready for school.

How much did I add to milk, and what were the taste and texture like?
I prefer a thinner drink, so I added two spoonfuls of powder to 200 ml of milk. It went down smoothly without being too thick, with a nutty flavor that suited my taste.

My husband said it was tasty and drank it well too. The powder particles were fine and mixed well, making it smooth without anything chewy or unpleasant while drinking.

It had very little of the chalky or fishy taste sometimes associated with grains. Its nutty yet clean taste made it easy to drink without feeling heavy.

What are the ingredients, and how did my child respond?
Because I had it with my child, I also checked the ingredients. According to the product description, it is made with oats, sea salt, and unrefined raw cane sugar, and contains no emulsifiers, artificial flavorings, or preservatives.

To me, the sweetness felt natural rather than excessive. My eldest child stirred it personally and drank it well without reluctance.

Was the powdered form easy to store and use?
With liquid oat drinks, I felt pressure to finish them quickly once opened. I liked that I could mix only as much as I needed with this product.

The product I received felt like it had plenty of time left before its use-by date, and it was easy to store. It was easy to drink on busy mornings, and since the whole family enjoyed it, I am thinking of buying it again.
