First Indian curry date in Pangyo: Maharaja course at Bombay Broy
In short
Bombay Broy Pangyo is an Indian curry restaurant in Baekhyeon-dong, Pangyo (Seongnam), by the entrance to the Baekhyeon-dong Café Street parking lot. The two-person Maharaja course at Bombay Broy Pangyo (53,900 won) brought chicken salad, half a tandoori chicken, samosas, butter chicken curry, plain and garlic naan, lassi, milk tea and coffee, and a companion trying Indian curry for the first time ate everything without hesitation. With mild spices, Bombay Broy Pangyo is a good pick for a first Indian curry date or a family meal out.

I was craving Indian curry for the first time in a while, so I headed to Bombay Broy Pangyo, a curry place in Pangyo, and it was the real deal. Let me record it here 🥘
Bombay Broy Pangyo location and parking
Bombay Broy Pangyo is at 25 Pangyoyeok-ro 2beon-gil, Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi, on the 1st floor, near the entrance to the Baekhyeon-dong Café Street parking lot. It is open daily 11:00–22:00, and if you use the Baekhyeon-dong Café Street parking lot, it costs ₩1,000 for the first 60 minutes and ₩2,000 per additional 60 minutes.
Even the exterior had a stylish, nice-vibes look,, Let's head in.
Inside Bombay Broy Pangyo and the window seats
The interior of Bombay Broy Pangyo is spacious with high ceilings, and the big-window seats look out on green scenery. The owner who greeted us seemed to be Indian, I think..! And he speaks quite a bit of Korean, haha 👍🏻

The space is quite roomy, and the interior feels totally exotic 🇮🇳 Maybe because of the high ceiling it feels airy, and the windows are floor-to-ceiling, which I loved 🌿

We settled into a window seat surrounded by lush green views, like this 〰️

The table setting was neat and cute with a lovely mood, so it felt like a date (?) haha
Bombay Broy menu and course lineup
Bombay Broy has set menus such as a weekday-only lunch set, the Maharani course (2 people), the Maharaja course (2 people) and the Chhatrapati family course (3–4 people). Here's the menu, a quick look ⤵️

Bombay = a big city in India, Broy = brewery. They apparently brew their own beer in Busan 🍺 and it seems there are a few branches, including Busan -

For set menus there's the weekday-only lunch set (such great value), plus the Maharani course (2 people), Maharaja course (2 people) and Chhatrapati family course (3–4 people). All look good, but the Maharaja course especially caught my eye: salad + half tandoori chicken + samosas + 1 curry + plain/garlic naan + rice + a drink each + dessert, all for ₩53,900 👍🏻

Further back there are tapas, tandoori barbecue dishes,

a variety of curries,

plus breads, rice dishes, desserts and drinks, a nice wide range. We ordered the Maharaja course, done.
- Chicken salad
- Half tandoori chicken
- Samosas, 2 pcs
- Choice of 1 curry (butter chicken)
- Plain and garlic naan
- Rice
- Wine or lassi, choose 2 (mango/strawberry lassi)
- Dessert (coffee or milk tea)
Maharaja course chicken salad and mango and strawberry lassi
The Maharaja course starts with chicken salad, pickles and jalapeños. The dishes soon began to arrive.

Chicken salad, pickles and jalapeños: the salad tasted familiar yet somehow exotic too, which was fun..! The chicken made it tasty. It felt a bit like having breakfast abroad 🤭

Mango and strawberry lassi. I absolutely love lassi yogurt drinks, so I was happy it's included in the set. They look pretty too 〰️

The lassi was tangy with a gentle sweetness, so good. The mango one is delish 🥭

Half tandoori chicken and samosas: enough for two?
The half tandoori chicken in the Maharaja course arrived sizzling on what looked like an iron plate (?), a gorgeous sight. Steam rising and it looks so good,,,
The samosas were soft fried pastries filled with something like potato, vegetables and beans (?), served with a sauce.

And here's the whole spread once the naan and butter chicken curry joined ✨

A glowing,, table full of a generous course. I think it's just right for two people. I saw quite a few reviews saying it's a lot of food, but for us it was just right, haha

Is the Bombay Broy tandoori chicken very spicy?
The tandoori chicken looks super spicy and intense, but it isn't at all, just slightly spicy, and it has a bit of spice aroma that isn't strong, which made it tasty 😌 It has a charming slightly charred crispness from the oven's fire. It's also good with onion or dipped in the curry.

Butter chicken curry and plain and garlic naan
Butter chicken curry is said to be made by pouring a smooth sauce of butter and fresh cream over chicken. I mixed it well and dipped the naan first, and it really was as smooth as described. Butter aroma and tomato come together with a hint of tang and richness, a flavor few people would dislike 🥘 It came on a mini brazier of sorts, so it stayed hot the whole time. Nice -

Pour plenty of curry over the Indian rice and both vanish in no time, haha. Eating it like this felt like being in India, like having breakfast there. And it suits my taste so well,,,😋 He was new to Indian curry but ate it all happily, haha

The naan (traditional Indian bread baked in a tandoor oven) is fluffy and soft, tasty even on its own. The plain is simple and basic, great for dipping in sauce, while the garlic naan has quite a garlicky aroma that pairs wonderfully in its own way. Garlic naan is so good...

It was so good that, wolfing it down with rice and naan, we ended up scraping the bowl clean...^^

Dessert: milk tea and coffee
For dessert in the Maharaja course you can choose coffee or milk tea, so we asked for one of each, and oh...! Both came hot ☕️ But wow.. these were really good too.
Me: Such a delicious, smooth milk tea...? (slurp, gone) / Him: Wow.. the coffee is good...? (savoring)
One of the best milk teas I've ever had,,, wow
Is Bombay Broy Pangyo good for Indian curry beginners?
The food at Bombay Broy Pangyo isn't strongly spiced, so even an Indian curry beginner could eat comfortably. I went looking for a good Indian curry place for the first time in ages, and the mood was great, with an authentic feel and distinctive Indian curries and set dishes to enjoy. He was a beginner and ate without any hesitation 😋 For anyone looking for an Indian curry restaurant in Pangyo for a date, a get-together or a family meal, I recommend Bombay Broy 🥘
