In short
Bada Yakbang Sindang Branch is a Korean aged sashimi restaurant in an alley between the Line 6 and Line 2 exits of Sindang Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. Our group booked ahead and ordered the seasonal assorted aged sashimi for two (₩58,000), monkfish liver salt gimbap (seaweed rice roll, ₩25,000), bracken beef jeon (₩21,000) and algon ramen with fish roe (₩9,000). Location and exterior of Bada Yakbang Sindang Branch

Bada Yakbang Sindang Branch sits in an alley between Line 6 and Line 2 at Sindang Station. It's not on the main commercial street, but a good restaurant still gets found by customers, haha.

In June they're running a monthly traditional liquor event with free tastings, so if you're curious, definitely try the free tasting. Bada Yakbang also has lunch specials including sushi, ramen and pasta, so I'd recommend enjoying a tasty meal at lunch as well as dinner.

Is there a wait at Bada Yakbang Sindang Branch? Should you book?
There can be a wait on Friday and weekend evenings, so I'd recommend booking through Catchtable. We reserved in advance, so we didn't have to wait.
Interior, seating and group gatherings

The interior of Bada Yakbang Sindang Branch isn't very large, but there are small tables for 2–3 people and a space where groups of four or more can sit comfortably.
We booked ahead, so we were shown to our seats right away.

The tablet you order from at the table features a recommended traditional liquor, 'Mimi Soso', and also explains a roulette event you can play once per table.
Menu at Bada Yakbang Sindang Branch

Bada Yakbang Sindang Branch offers a wide menu including assorted aged sashimi, sweet shrimp, aged amberjack (Daebang) sashimi, sea urchin roe, mackerel chohoe (vinegared sashimi), monkfish liver and more,

and it sells a wide variety of alcohol to go with them.
Seasonal assorted aged sashimi for two, ₩58,000: portion and taste

We ordered Bada Yakbang's signature aged sashimi first. It comes with soy sauce, salt and various namul (seasoned vegetables).

To try a bit of everything, we ordered the seasonal assorted aged sashimi for two (₩58,000), and the portion was really generous for two people.

The aged sashimi was thick with a lively, chewy texture, and I really enjoyed it. If I weren't on a diet, I would have loved to share a glass of soju with my partner over it, haha.
Monkfish liver salt gimbap, ₩25,000: why we chose this place for the gathering

The monkfish liver salt gimbap (seaweed rice roll) is ₩25,000. It's the very reason my partner picked Bada Yakbang Sindang Branch for the gathering, haha. The monkfish liver is piled on generously, and the combination with the special sesame sauce was really delicious. The wasabi cuts the slight richness that might otherwise get heavy, so it was really good, haha.

Bracken jeon ₩21,000 and algon ramen ₩9,000
For another side we ordered the bracken jeon (pan-fried patties, ₩21,000). It has bracken and beef short plate in a 1:1 ratio, so it was nutty with a great texture. We were already full from the sashimi and the monkfish liver gimbap, but it was still really good.

The algon ramen (roe ramen) is ₩9,000. We were already stuffed from the jeon... haha, but my partner looked at the menu and added the algon ramen! Inwardly I wondered if I could eat it while full, but my companions and I ate it with great relish, haha. The spicy ramen at the end cut the richness of the jeon nicely.
