Yeokgok Station bar with stone-plate beef jjajang: Yongyong Seonsaeng
In short
Yongyong Seonsaeng Bucheon Yeokgok is a Hong Kong night-market-style bar near the north side of Yeokgok Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi. The writer ordered the Yongyong stone-plate jjajang (black bean noodles with beef brisket on a hot stone plate) and the spicy, tangy Sichuan tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork), finished every bite, and found the spacious hall and group seating ideal for company dinners. For anyone in Yeokgok hunting for a spot for a friends' get-together or a company dinner, I'm going to walk you through a place I actually visited: Yongyong Seonsaeng Bucheon Yeokgok (용용선생 부천역곡점). It isn't just about the mood. Every single dish is cooked to a special standard, so I really recommend it if you're looking for a good bar in Bucheon.

How to get there and where to park

Yongyong Seonsaeng Bucheon Yeokgok is within a 5-minute walk of Yeokgok Station, Bukbu Station side. It's close to the station, so public transport is very convenient, and it's perfect for meeting up right after work.
Parking tip! The bar has its own parking spaces, which is handy, but the area around Yeokgok Station is a busy commercial district, so I'd recommend taking public transport if you can. If you drive, you can use the building's underground parking or the nearby Yeokgok Station public parking lot.
A spacious Hong Kong night-market-style hall

The moment you walk in, you get a hip Hong Kong night-market feel! Red lighting and stylish interiors make it great for taking photos too.
Unlike the loud atmosphere of a typical pub, it has a stylish mood that works even for a date, and with plenty of group seating it's really popular for company dinners near Yeokgok Station. It was so crowded that I struggled to film videos without people in the shot, haha. The space is big too, which I liked.
What to eat at Yongyong Seonsaeng Bucheon Yeokgok: stone-plate jjajang and Sichuan tangsuyuk

The menu is varied, so choosing is half the fun. There's something for every age and taste.

You order with the QR code on the table. The Yongyong stone-plate jjajang (noodles in black bean sauce) and Sichuan tangsuyuk (Chinese-style sweet and sour fried pork) I ordered that day were an all-time great combo.
Yongyong stone-plate jjajang: beef belly jjajang on a hot stone plate

The Yongyong stone-plate jjajang (regular) arrives steaming on a sizzling stone plate, and the sight alone overwhelms you.

Generous chunks of beef belly go into the jjajang sauce, so it's unusually rich and savory. Especially when you wrap fragrant chives and noodles together and stuff them in your mouth, the juiciness of the beef belly and the deep jjajang flavor come together for real depth.

The best thing about stone-plate jjajang is that it stays warm down to the last bite! 😋
Sichuan tangsuyuk: peppery, spicy and tangy sauce

If you like spicy bar food, the Sichuan tangsuyuk at Yongyong Seonsaeng is an absolute must. A subtle peppery aroma rises from the sauce, the heat of chili flakes wakes up your appetite, and the slight tanginess balances it like art.

The savory flavor explodes in a way ordinary tangsuyuk can't match! The fried meat itself is very fresh, crispy outside and juicy inside, so the chew is really satisfying. It's spicy but the aftertaste is clean, and I couldn't think of a better dish to go with drinks. 🌶️

The food was so much better than I expected that I kept picking at it without thinking and finished every last bite. The portions are big too, and I thought I'd burst.
Things to check before visiting Yongyong Seonsaeng Bucheon Yeokgok
- In the evening it's always packed with people looking for a good Yeokgok bar. If you're planning a company dinner or group meetup, I recommend reserving ahead by phone or Naver reservation! 📞
- The Sichuan tangsuyuk goes fantastically with a baijiu-based highball. One bite of the spicy dish and a cold highball will blow away all your built-up work stress. 🥃
- The stone-plate jjajang and Sichuan tangsuyuk are plenty, but if you're a big group, add the signature volcano mala hot pot (hwasan mala jeongol). Adding a soup dish makes it a perfect company dinner spread.
For the most satisfying drinking session in Yeokgok, Yongyong Seonsaeng Bucheon Yeokgok nails service, atmosphere and taste all together. It's not just a place to drink; it's the ideal space to enjoy good food and talk. If you're looking for a bar in Bucheon or a company dinner spot near Yeokgok Station, there's no reason to hesitate.
