Weekday-evening Korean BBQ in Eungam-dong with garlic scapes: Yukjjip
Yukjjip is a Korean BBQ restaurant specializing in pork belly, right beside Bulgwangcheon stream in Eungam-dong, Eunpyeong, Seoul. On a weekday evening the writer ordered the Yukjjip mixed platter — pork neck, whole pork belly and gabrisal (pork shoulder blade meat) served with king oyster mushrooms, eggplant and garlic scapes — grilled at the table by staff, while the soju and beer discount event ran on, extended through October. The cuts were thick yet never dry, which made this third visit to Yukjjip another satisfying one.
