Hongdae hair salon for Le Sserafim Kim Chaewon's matte brown: Andoff

Le Sserafim's Boompala is so hot right now! I was watching the video and couldn't stop looking up Kim Chaewon's hairstyle because it's so pretty. Summer is coming too, so I wanted a change of look and went hunting for a Hongdae hair salon. I ended up at Andoff Hongdae, near Hongik Univ. Station, which is good at dyeing and layered cuts.

I wanted a color that makes my face look bright, so I got matte brown dye and a layered cut together.

Where is Andoff Hongdae, and what about hours and parking?

It's close to Exit 1 of Hongik Univ. Station, so it was easy to reach by public transport, and the quiet alley seemed like a nice place to get your hair done.

What is the atmosphere like at Andoff Hongdae?

Andoff Hongdae feels clean and cozy overall. The pastel-toned interior made it feel really relaxing.

The styling area, the shampoo and head spa area, and the waiting area are all separate, so I could stay in a private, quiet space.

How did the consultation for Kim Chaewon's hair color go?

In the consultation at Andoff Hongdae, we picked the color while looking at photos of Kim Chaewon's hair and a color chart together, and the designer recommended matte brown. The color I wanted was exactly Le Sserafim Kim Chaewon's hair color.

After the dye, I also got a layered-style cut fitted to my face shape for a soft, pure look.

How long did the matte brown dye and layered cut take?

The matte brown dye, shampoo and layered cut were all done in about 1 hour 30 minutes. The dye went in two steps: first the sections with leftover color, then about 15 minutes later, the roots.

My hair still had my previous dye on it with only the roots faded, so it had red and yellow tones overall. They first applied the dye to the parts with the old color, then about 15 minutes later carefully matched the color through the roots.

I got a relaxing shampoo and a layered cut, and it didn't take as long as I expected. I'd planned on more than 2 hours, but it wrapped up in about 1 hour 30 minutes. It finished faster and prettier than I expected, so I was in a really good mood, haha!

Before and after matte brown: did the red tones get sorted out?

Dyeing to matte brown cleaned up the red from my old dye and gave the whole look a sleek, calm mood. Before, some yellow and red tones were still left. I took photos indoors and in sunlight!

Matte brown goes really well with summer, and my skin tone looks clearer too, so I'm super happy with it!!! Personally, I'm looking forward to the color fading naturally after 1–2 weeks into the hair color I had in mind~

After getting matte brown dye and a layered cut together, my whole look became much softer and purer. It's not flashy, but the mood changes subtly, so I think it's a great style for switching things up in weather like this.
