Why I looked for a Sinnonhyeon Station café instead of working at home
Lately my workload has grown so much that I badly wanted to spend my time somewhere quiet rather than at home. At home I keep wanting to lie down and my focus drifts, so I needed a proper workspace.
I was looking for a place where I could stay comfortably late without feeling self-conscious, and I stumbled on Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe (셀렉토커피 신논현점). The mood was great and the menu was packed with good things, so I left really satisfied. For someone who loves exploring Sinnonhyeon cafés, Selecto will be remembered as a hidden gem.
What time does Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon close?
Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon is open 24 hours, and some hours run unmanned. The door is open at dawn or late at night, so my work flow never got interrupted, which I loved.

What I liked most was, of course, being able to stay with no time limit. When I want a breather from a busy routine, I can't think of a Sinnonhyeon Station café that feels as easy as Selecto. Thanks to the unmanned hours, I could visit late and just get on with my own tasks without any pressure, which was really appealing.
Study seats for laptop work near Sinnonhyeon Station
Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon has a clean, bright interior and a calm feel overall, perfect for studying or working on a laptop. I especially liked that there are study seats set aside for solo customers.

The clean, bright interior caught my eye the moment I walked in.

Thanks to the study seats, I could ignore everyone around me and sink completely into my own time. It's hard to find a Sinnonhyeon café with this much focus-friendly atmosphere, and the study seats let me work far more efficiently than I expected.
How do you order at Selecto Coffee?
At Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon you order at the kiosk by the entrance. Besides drinks, there are sandwiches that work as a meal, and desserts too.

Browsing the kiosk, I found a really wide range of choices, which is ideal for a long stay. Before visiting I'd only thought of coffee, but you can get a hearty bite too, so I'm sure I'll be coming often.
Mocha Blend vs Geisha Blend americano taste comparison
For drinking while I worked, I ordered one americano each of the Mocha Blend and the Geisha Blend. The Mocha Blend was heavy and nutty, while the Geisha Blend had a lovely subtle fruity aroma.

The Mocha Blend had a weighty body and a nutty flavor that filled my mouth, so it felt steady and reliable, while the Geisha Blend's gently spreading fruity aroma was really charming. Being able to pick beans to your own taste in a Sinnonhyeon café was a big joy for a coffee lover like me.
Kabocha egg sandwich as a meal while working
The kabocha egg sandwich (단호박에그샌드위치, sweet pumpkin and egg) I ordered at Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon perfectly settled my hunger while working. It was generously filled with sweet kabocha and soft egg.

You always get hungry when you work, and the kabocha egg sandwich had a rich, full texture and moist bread that kept me happy the whole time I ate. Enjoying a hearty sandwich with coffee at a Sinnonhyeon café meant I handled both meal and work in one go, a really worthwhile stretch of time.
Would I go back to Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon?
After so long, finishing my tasks with focus and good coffee in a nice space felt really rewarding. The calm environment helped the work go smoothly, and the snacks I enjoyed in between were better than expected, so I'll definitely come back for my next work session. If you need a quiet space or are craving good coffee, I think you'll be really satisfied if you stop by.
