Wunder Coffee Bar: a dessert café for a shopping break at Songdo's Hyundai outlet
Wunder Coffee Bar's Songdo branch is a great dessert stop while shopping at the Hyundai Outlet in Songdo (Songhyeona). The weather has turned chilly lately, so I dropped by to look at winter clothes and shop! While strolling around the outlet, I spotted Wunder Coffee Bar and my feet carried me over as if in a trance, haha. After one taste, it became my personal favorite dessert spot, one I have to hit like a stamp-rally every time I come to Songhyeona :)

This time, I went looking for a sweet little pick-me-up at Wunder Coffee Bar's Songdo branch, which has quite a reputation as an outlet café! It sits between the basement and ground-floor shopping routes of the Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo, so it's perfect for a stop mid-shopping, haha.

Does Wunder Coffee Bar Songdo have seats?
Heads up: the Songdo branch has no seating area where you can sit down comfortably! It's more of a takeout spot, set up so you grab your cup and enjoy it casually on an outlet bench or standing area :)
What does the half vanilla, half hojicha soft serve taste like?
A can't-fail combo: vanilla and hojicha (roasted green tea) half-and-half soft serve

What I picked at Wunder Coffee Bar was the soft serve with vanilla and hojicha swirled half and half. After all that walking and shopping, my throat was a bit dry and my sugar had dropped, so I wondered what to get! I pored over the menu and kept eyeing the soft serve, the café's signature you really can't miss, haha. I couldn't give up either vanilla or hojicha, so I quickly ordered the half-and-half!

I customized it with the choco shell, an option that's totally my thing! Seeing the rich, crunchy chocolate syrup coating set on top of the ice cream made my mouth water, T_T!

I scooped up a big spoonful, and the nutty, bittersweet flavor of hojicha spreading gently through my mouth was honestly art, haha. The sweet, smooth vanilla and the deep savory bitterness of hojicha were perfectly balanced, and I couldn't help exclaiming! The luxurious tea aroma blends with the sweetness, and once you start you can't stop :)
Is the choco shell add-on worth it?
A masterstroke: the texture explosion of choco shell and cookie crumble

Adding the choco shell to Wunder's soft serve brings a crunchy texture. Tapping the thin, crisp shell wrapped around the ice cream with a spoon to crack it was hugely fun! And on top of the shell you also get crunchy cookie crumble, and this combo gives a crazy good texture, T_T!

Sweet chocolate, nutty cookie and the luxurious hojicha ice cream came together, and I kept spooning it up in delight, haha. I'm totally hooked on this hojicha flavor, so Wunder Coffee Bar at the Songdo outlet is going to be a must-stop every time I visit :)

Can you order a light decaf Americano at Wunder Coffee Bar?
A clean, refreshing pairing: decaf Americano

I asked Wunder Coffee Bar for a light decaf Americano, and they got the ratio just right. I ordered a decaf Americano too, to wet my throat alongside the ice cream and round out the combo! I usually like my coffee a bit weak, so I kindly asked the owner to make it light, and they nailed the ratio, haha.

I took a big sip through the straw, and there was none of that coffee harshness, burnt taste or bitterness, T_T! A nutty, clean bean aroma spread refreshingly and tidied up the sweetness left in my mouth. The fresh balance that cleanly washes away the dessert's sweetness meant I gulped it down in no time like cold water, lol.
Soft serve and coffee on a Songhyeona terrace bench
Wunder Coffee Bar has no seats, so I carried my drink and ice cream cup to the pretty terrace benches in the outlet's central plaza and enjoyed dessert at a leisurely pace! Eating something sweet in the cool breeze gave me a happy second wind after a tiring shopping trip, haha. Everyone around me was holding an ice cream cup too, so the dessert is clearly popular and the taste is proven :)
Despite the chillier weather, I shopped happily at Songhyeona and squeezed in some sweet dessert time to refresh myself! If you want a sweet, charming break, try Wunder Coffee Bar's Songdo branch, where the one-of-a-kind hojicha ice cream and clean, refreshing decaf coffee make a perfect pair, haha. I strongly recommend it as a dessert spot of a lifetime to sweetly melt away shopping fatigue :)
