I visited Dalgeuraem (달그램), a new Incheon café that just finished its soft opening. The interior was really pretty, and the salt bread and cakes were amazing. This is my story of a Gyesan-dong salt bread hotspot!
Where is Dalgeuraem in Gyesan-dong, and what are the hours and parking?
Dalgeuraem is at 1F, 9-7 Jubuto-ro 543beon-gil, Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, and it's open every day from 10:00 to 22:00 (last order 21:30). It's closed every Monday, and for parking you can use a nearby public parking lot.
It's a 3-minute walk from Exit 3 of Gyesan Station. Turn into the alley between the gas station and Twosome Place, turn left, then go in to the right of Geumcheon Hof (a pub), and you'll see it right away.
What's the atmosphere like at Dalgeuraem?
Dalgeuraem is a wood-and-white bakery café, and the antique, European-style decorations right from the entrance caught my eye. Word seems to have spread already, because there were so many customers, and I heard the hall fills up at peak time.
It was cute and really pretty. Exactly my kind of vibe! They also have baby chairs. I ordered takeout today, but when my baby is a bit older, we'll eat in the hall.

A restroom inside the café is so convenient, right? It was clean, which was nice.

Dalgeuraem cake varieties and prices

They also have lots of pretty candles in different styles, good for anniversaries.
Friends had sent beautiful flowers and plants as opening gifts. After trying Dalgeuraem's desserts myself, I totally get it, I can't even imagine how well this place will do! I think it'll become the number one dessert café in Gyesan-dong.

Dalgeuraem has a wide drink menu: coffee, non-coffee, ades, teas and more. The watermelon juice must have been popular, because it sold out early that day. Watermelon juice in summer is love. 🍉
What I took home from Dalgeuraem and the opening event
That day I took out a mango fresh cream cake (₩8,200), a matcha KitKat cake (₩8,500), a soft salt bread (₩3,000), a Choco Deumbbeuk salt bread (₩4,500) and a Chilis salt bread (₩6,500). With a newborn at home, our blood sugar was crashing, so my husband and I got plenty to refuel.

Three salt breads and two cakes. The packaging was so neat, too.
The cold brew concentrate was my opening event gift! It was thoughtful that we could choose between caffeinated and decaf, so I picked one of each. It tasted like fancy coffee with a moderate acidity. I'll definitely have to go back for the coffee.
The cakes were secured in the box, so even after a long trip they arrived intact without any shaking.
Mango fresh cream cake
The mango in Dalgeuraem's mango fresh cream cake was perfectly ripened, so it was really soft and richly sweet. It went well with the not-too-sweet, nutty dairy fresh cream. Soft, light and delicious.
Matcha KitKat cake

Dalgeuraem's matcha KitKat cake is packed with matcha cream, so it's bittersweet with a really strong matcha flavor. There's matcha KitKat in it too, so you get some crunch! It was a unique flavor that's hard to find elsewhere.
Soft salt bread

Dalgeuraem's salt bread is crisp outside and moist inside, with an amazing buttery flavor. It really is a Gyesan-dong salt bread hotspot. By the way, it's even better with a quick spin in the air fryer.
Chilis salt bread

Dalgeuraem's Chilis salt bread is the salt bread version of Chili's! The mozzarella cheese stretches and stretches. It's slightly spicy, so you don't get sick of it. It's supposed to come with ranch sauce, but it was missing, which was a bit disappointing, though it's tasty on its own.
Choco Deumbbeuk salt bread

If you're a chocolate lover, you have to buy Dalgeuraem's Choco Deumbbeuk salt bread! The cream, the coating and the dough are all chocolate. The sweet mont-blanc-style cream, made by aging fresh cream with Valrhona dark chocolate, is so good. It's that sweet-and-salty sweetness that makes you happy.
Verdict
I visited Dalgeuraem, an Incheon café run by a kind owner. The café is pretty, and the salt bread and cakes were really delicious. I hear they're starting delivery soon, so give it a try!
