I visited Dalgeuraem, a newly opened café in Gyesan-dong.

I heard a café with lots of cakes and desserts had opened near Gyesan Station, so I went on opening day 👀💗 It's about a 2-minute walk from Exit 3 of Gyesan Station, so the location is good, and the desserts looked homemade and the fruit drinks left an impression on me. It's a bakery café by Gyesan Station 👀💗✨

How close is Dalgeuraem to Gyesan Station, and what about parking?
Dalgeuraem is a Gyesan-dong café about a 2-minute walk from Exit 3 of Gyesan Station. It's so close to the station that it's easy to visit without a car.
Parking right in front is difficult, so if you drive, use the Gyesan Sports Park underground public car park. It costs ₩600 per 30 minutes, then ₩300 per 15 minutes. There are 1–2 spots in front of the shop, but it's parking in a residential alley... so I recommend coming on foot 👀‼️
Dalgeuraem opening hours and closing day
Dalgeuraem is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00–22:00, and closed on Mondays. Last order is at 21:30.

It's open until 10 p.m., so it seemed fine to drop by after work, or for cake and coffee during an evening date 👀💗
A cozy café in a residential alley
Dalgeuraem sits in a quiet alley, and the exterior already had a great mood 👀💗 It looks like a converted house, with wood tones, vintage props and cute little decorations, so it felt like a cozy café even before I went in.
The space in front is prettily decorated too. There's no terrace seating yet, but looking at it, I thought a terrace would suit it well if they add one later 👀💛
Already the talk of the neighborhood on opening night?
I visited on the evening of Dalgeuraem's opening day, and customers kept coming in, more than I expected.

I heard the soft opening lasted about 3 days, and in that short time I could already see what looked like returning customers, and some people were packing up loads of bread to go. It seems people who were curious about the new café had already come by.

It hasn't been open long, but I wondered if word was already spreading a little among bread lovers like me, and café fans 👀✨
What cakes and desserts does Dalgeuraem have?
Dalgeuraem is less a place that just serves coffee and more a Gyesan-dong bakery café that puts a lot into cakes and desserts. I could see a baking workspace inside, and the owner was wearing something like a pâtissier's uniform, so it felt professional.

The dessert range was wider than I expected too: salt bread (butter rolls with a salted crust), financiers, egg tarts, cookies and cakes, all packed into a small shop.

A cake case full of fruit cakes
Looking at Dalgeuraem's cake case was fun in itself. The cakes below were quite varied.
- Mango fresh cream cake
- Mango yogurt cake
- Ojamong cake (grapefruit cake)
- Kiwi fresh cream cake
- Blueberry chocolate cake
- Carrot cake
- Matcha cake

With so many fruit cakes, it felt like a place fruit-dessert fans would love, and every slice looked pretty. I went in the evening, so some were already sold out, but even the remaining ones made me think the case must be fuller during the day. The cakes weren't just pretty: they had big pieces of fruit, and the cream and sponge looked carefully made too.
Whole cakes are available too, so anyone hunting for a good cake shop in Gyesan-dong could come for a birthday or anniversary cake.

Lots of salt bread varieties
Dalgeuraem had quite a few kinds of salt bread. Besides the plain one there was milk cream salt bread, chili salt bread and one with sausage, so it's a place salt bread hunters in Gyesan-dong should like. A faint butter smell fills the shop, so bread lovers will be in a good mood the moment they walk in 👀💕
Restroom, high chair and other facilities
The restroom is inside the shop and was clean. There were small amenities like hair ties and hand cream too, so I could tell the owner takes care over the space. There's also a high chair, so it seemed fine to visit with kids.

Mango cream cake and two ades: what do they cost and how do they taste?
What I ordered that day: grapefruit ade ₩5,500, flat peach ade ₩5,500, mango fresh cream cake ₩8,200 👀💚

Mango fresh cream cake, ₩8,200
Honestly, I'd had a big meal beforehand and wasn't planning to eat much dessert... haha. But taking bites while chatting with my friend, the mango cake had vanished before I knew it..🐷🎶 This is~ magic🪄
Dalgeuraem's mango fresh cream cake caught my eye from the case because of its big pieces of fruit💛 The mango tasted fresh, the cream wasn't greasy so it was easy to eat, and the sponge was moist and soft.
When I peeled off the film it almost collapsed a little, but that just means the cream and sponge are soft, right…💛
With so many cakes, next time I want to try the matcha cake or another fruit cake besides mango. Everything looked so good that choosing was a real struggle…🥹💭

Grapefruit ade and flat peach ade, ₩5,500 each
The flat peach ade and grapefruit ade I ordered were good too💗 I first hesitated over a cold-pressed juice, but that day I went with the grapefruit and flat peach ades. Dalgeuraem's ades don't taste of strong syrup; you can really taste the fruit juice 👀💚
It wasn't just sweetness sticking out but the natural sweetness of fruit, and I liked that there was pulp to chew, which made it fun. Chewing away as I drank, it felt a little like eating dessert even though it was a drink.
The flat peach ade was especially good. The color and the decoration were pretty, so I felt like I was drinking a pretty cocktail🍹💗 The grapefruit ade was zesty and went well with the mango fresh cream cake💞
Coffee prices and other drinks
I also saw the watermelon juice at the next table, with a big piece of watermelon on top of the cup. Next time I want to try ttaemoban (watermelon drink), the watermelon juice or a cold-pressed juice 🐷💗
An Americano is ₩4,000 and a café latte ₩4,500, so drink prices are reasonable compared with cafés these days. You can swap to decaf or oat milk, and the signature drinks were three kinds of cream latte.

A Gyesan-dong dessert café I want to go back to
Dalgeuraem is a brand-new Gyesan-dong café, but the mood was good from the start. Customers kept coming in naturally, and quite a few people were taking bread to go.
There are already well-known dessert spots near Gyesan Station, and with Dalgeuraem opening too, this neighborhood seems to be turning into a dessert battleground, haha. With cakes, salt bread and fruit drinks, I think this new café will become better known as a Gyesan-dong dessert café 👀✨
The owner was really kind too. I could feel the care put into the space, desserts and drinks, and it kept me in a good mood the whole time I was there💚

Dutch coffee and butter cookies for the opening
They also gave me Dutch coffee (cold-brew drip coffee) and butter cookies as an opening gift, and when I tried them at home they were good too. The Dutch coffee has just a slight acidity and is mostly nutty, which suited my taste.

The butter cookies were good too, so next time I want to try coffee with baked sweets.

Dalgeuraem was a Gyesan-dong dessert café with especially good fruit drinks 👀💗 You can really taste the juice in the ades and there's pulp to chew, so they were clearly different from drinks that are just sweet. The Dutch coffee I got as an opening gift was good too, so I'm curious about the coffee as well.

Bread, drinks, coffee: nothing felt carelessly made, and I could tell they care about the taste👀💭

Joining delivery apps from July
✔️✔️✔️ They also said Dalgeuraem will be on delivery apps from July! I'm a little jealous of people who live nearby and can eat Dalgeuraem desserts at home..🥲

If you're looking for a café near Gyesan Station, a good cake shop in Gyesan-dong or a bakery café there, stop by Dalgeuraem once. ♥️ I plan to go back ♥️ Next time I want to go during the day and properly try the salt bread, other cakes and coffee.
