Bupyeong self-shoot studio for a portfolio video: New Chapter Studio
In short
New Chapter Studio Party Room is a studio and party room rental on the 3rd floor near Dongam Station in Bupyeong, Incheon. The writer rented New Chapter Studio to film a portfolio video with the provided tripod and found a kitchen, a restroom, a Bluetooth speaker, a selfie remote, a "Samtanbyme" screen for phone mirroring, and costumes and props, including a baby hanbok (traditional Korean dress). Verdict: New Chapter Studio is a pretty good choice both as a photo studio and as a party room for bridal showers, baby showers, and first-birthday or 100-day photos.

I had a video shoot coming up and was trying to figure out where to film, and that's how I found New Chapter Studio Party Room in Bupyeong!

How do you get to New Chapter Studio from Dongam Station?
New Chapter Studio is about a 5-minute walk from Exit 2 of Dongam Station. If you get confused, just remember "post office → Seven-Eleven" and you'll be fine!
- From Exit 2 of Dongam Station, turn left (toward the GS convenience store) and keep going straight along the main road
- Cross at the traffic light and keep going past the gas station to the post office
- Turn into the alley right next to the post office and go straight
- When you see the Seven-Eleven, go just a little farther
- You'll see New Chapter Studio 😊
It wasn't hard to find at all!

What is the space at New Chapter Studio like?
New Chapter Studio in Bupyeong is on the 3rd floor, and with "studio" in the name, it's a nice place for taking photos too. With a party room, the photos from the day are often what you remember for years, right? So I'd suggest checking the lighting, wall mood and props in photos beforehand!

Natural-light corner right inside the door
The moment I opened the door of New Chapter Studio, I saw a space filled with natural light. This is where you'll probably take the most photos, and if you rent the space, it looks like a great spot to eat and hang out too. When I visited, it was set up for a bridal shower. I didn't actually use this area, but with the baby shower and bridal shower props there, it'd be great for friends to come, eat and take photos!

Still, I felt a bit wistful, so I took a photo here anyway haha
Here's what the inside of New Chapter Studio looks like!

Does New Chapter Studio have a kitchen and restroom?
New Chapter Studio has a kitchen area with a refrigerator and a sink. It looks great for eating and hanging out when several friends visit, and you can use it by purpose, as a studio or as a party room!

What self-shoot equipment does New Chapter Studio provide?
New Chapter Studio provides a tripod, a Bluetooth speaker, a selfie remote and a "Samtan By Me" (a screen for mirroring your phone). Above all, there's a tripod, so I used the one here to film!
- 🫐 Bluetooth speaker: Classic 1
- 📷 Selfie remote: Yoichi
- 📺 Samtan By Me: connect your phone over Wi-Fi to mirror its screen
It also looks good for commemorative photos with kids, like a 100-day or first-birthday shoot. You could connect a monitor and watch something together too, right? And it's great for playing music!

There's a restroom inside New Chapter Studio too! That's another plus for anyone using it as a party room!

And of course I took a mirror shot that came out nicely, just because!

Can you borrow costumes like a baby hanbok and props?
Inside New Chapter Studio there were costumes hanging up, including a baby hanbok (traditional Korean outfit). I hear all of them can be borrowed for free if you write a Naver photo review (cleaning fees and the like may be charged for heavy stains or damage). It'd be a nice place for kids' commemorative photos too, right?

If you look under the microwave cabinet, there are extra props and balloons. They looked good for taking photos with!

Filming a portfolio video at New Chapter Studio
I had a portfolio shoot at New Chapter Studio and filmed in a bit of a rush, but I also looked for flattering angles and took some photos!
When choosing a party room, pretty photos matter, but whether the group size, time and rules fit your gathering matters even more, right? With its variety of props, it seemed great as a studio for bridal showers, baby showers, or first-birthday and 100-day photos.
