It's easy to reach, so it's a convenient meeting spot. If you drive, park at the Angunggeun Park public lot and it's a 3-minute walk, with 1 hour of free parking provided.

It's the kind of place that comes to mind when you think of Jung-dong pubs in Bucheon, one you can trust! The restrooms are managed by the bar itself, so even people who visit often will find them perfectly fine to use. It's great for group gatherings and year-end parties, and I recommend it.

There's plenty of room overall, and each area has a different vibe, so choosing a seat is half the fun. The props and the TV around the place give off a strong old-time feeling, so it's a nice spot for older folks to have a drink too.

Free self-serve snack: unlimited fried pasta sticks

The starter snack at Geumbyeol Beer is self-serve! Sweet fried pasta noodles are unlimited, so you can take as much as you like. They're sneakily addictive, and perfect with beer!

Also, the beer machines that pour Geumbyeol Beer's signature slushy-cold draft beer sit in a row in front of the counter, and they looked pretty as decor too!

What's on the Geumbyeol Beer food and drinks menu?

The signatures on the Geumbyeol Beer menu include crispy chicken, pastry pizza, tomato hangover pasta and a "delicious" long eel cold udon. For light snacks there's yukhoe (seasoned raw beef) and dried snacks, and for dessert there's pineapple sorbet and fruit platters. With so many options, you can order a meal or a hearty dish to go with your drinks, or go light and nibble on small snacks.

Normally you'd go for the signature slushy beer, but we came for a second round after dinner, so I ordered Saero (새로) soju, which I was trying for the first time! Besides soju and beer, Geumbyeol Beer has highballs, distilled spirits and more, so a group can each order to their own taste. Everyone's preferences respected~

We went for a light second round and ended up eating three snacks, haha. Apart from the main, the hot crispy chicken, everything was light, so it was easy to chat while drinking. I had the baguette as a starter bread; it was crispy and fluffy, with a texture like a dinner roll. The pineapple sorbet was a great combo of the ice cream on top and the sweet, crunchy texture.

How does the hot crispy chicken taste?

Geumbyeol Beer's hot crispy chicken (₩22,000) has a crispy, spicy coating. It's already seasoned, so it's tasty on its own, but dunking it in the sweet sauce is a great combo too.

It comes with old-school sarada salad (Korean-style salad with mayo dressing), plus pickles and jalapeños for when it gets greasy! Eating it spicy and crunchy, I realized we'd finished the whole thing, haha.

Finish with my favorite pineapple sorbet as a palate cleanser and dessert, and you've had an easy drink at Geumbyeol Beer in Jung-dong, Bucheon, and can head home with a full belly~
