When you start planning a trip with your dog, choosing accommodation is harder than you might think, right? Rather than simply finding a place where dogs are allowed in the room, I end up checking every little thing: whether there is space for the dog to run comfortably, whether the room is clean, and whether parking is easy.

Luna Beach Seonjae Hotel & Pension, where I stayed this time, was a place where both dogs and their owners could truly relax. In particular, if you are looking into a pet-friendly pension on Seonjae Island because you want to see the sea and unwind with your dog near Seoul, it is one worth keeping an eye on.

Another advantage is its location on Seonjae Island, which makes it easy to explore Daebu Island and Yeongheung Island together. If you are getting around by car, it is great for visiting the nearby sea and attractions, and being able to park at the property was convenient on a dog-friendly trip with lots of luggage.
A great first impression for a stay with your dog

The first thing I noticed on arriving at Luna Beach Seonjae Hotel & Pension was that it felt larger than a typical pension and had a wide range of amenities.
Even at pet-friendly accommodation, there are places where dogs do not actually have enough room to move around. Here, though, there is a large artificial-turf yard, making it lovely to spend time outside with your dog. It made me think this would suit people searching for a pet-friendly pension on Seonjae Island while planning a trip with their dog.
Dogs can get nervous in unfamiliar places, so I loved that we could get outside for some air and a walk instead of staying cooped up indoors. With Seonjae Island's relaxed atmosphere added in, it really felt like we had gotten away.
A clean, comfortable room
One of the things I consider important on a trip with a dog is how clean the room is. Since dogs stay there too, you can worry about odors or the bedding, but Luna Beach Seonjae Hotel & Pension felt well maintained overall, so it was easy to relax.

The rooms have facilities for preparing simple food, and depending on the room type, you can use a spa as well. After exploring Seonjae Island all day, it seemed perfect for coming back, warming up, and easing away the tiredness of travel. Recent guest reviews also often mentioned spacious, clean rooms and comfortable bedding; after staying myself, I could see why it has been so well received by travelers with dogs.
A large artificial-turf yard for happy dogs
One of the highlights here, in my opinion! It is the artificial-turf yard where dogs can move freely. When you travel with your dog, it is a little disappointing if only the humans are having fun, isn't it?
I think it becomes a real trip together only when the dog gets to sniff new smells, run around, and have a wonderful time too. In that sense, Luna Beach Seonjae Hotel & Pension was a space that people and their dogs could enjoy together.
If outdoor space where your dog can run is important when choosing a pet-friendly pension on Seonjae Island, I think you will be very satisfied. There were also facilities such as a dog dryer, air-tank blower, and pet drying room, which looked convenient for caring for your dog after outdoor activities.
An evening made complete with barbecue
A pension trip means barbecue, of course! You can barbecue at Luna Beach Seonjae Hotel & Pension too, so you can properly enjoy the evening.

I do not know why a bite of grilled meat tastes so good when you are traveling. We walked with the dog and looked at the sea during the day, then spent an unhurried evening at the accommodation with delicious food—it felt like the day was completely filled.
The barbecue costs ₩20,000 per table for charcoal and a grill and can be used by up to 6 people, so check this when booking if you plan to use it. If you are traveling with family, friends, and your dog, I think this is the kind of time that stays in your memory for a long time.
Facilities from a pool to a spa
Rather than being somewhere just to sleep, Luna Beach Seonjae Hotel & Pension has a range of facilities so you can spend time at the property itself. There is a seasonal pool, and some room types offer a spa.

The seminar room is also said to have karaoke, a pool table, table tennis, and a beam projector, so it seemed highly useful for group trips or workshops too.

When traveling with a dog, there are many times when you want to relax at the accommodation rather than rushing around far away. So if you want a pet-friendly pension on Seonjae Island with a variety of facilities, Luna Beach Seonjae Hotel & Pension may be one to compare.
A healing trip alongside the Seonjae Island sea
The charm of a Seonjae Island trip is, of course, the sea. Just stepping away from the busy city and walking in the sea breeze makes everything feel a little lighter.
As I slowly walked with my dog, took photos, and looked at the scenery around us, it felt like a real trip even without visiting lots of special attractions. One recent review also said there was a beach and a good walking area about five minutes away on foot, where they spent a lovely time with their dog.

If you balance time resting at the accommodation with time enjoying Seonjae Island's nature, I think it would make a great one-night, two-day healing trip.
What Luna Beach Seonjae Hotel & Pension felt like firsthand
When you travel with your dog, there is more to prepare and more to think about than usual.

That is why, when the accommodation is comfortable, the entire trip feels much more relaxed. What I especially liked about Luna Beach Seonjae Hotel & Pension was that it does more than simply allow dogs—it provides space and related facilities for them to use.
With a comfortable room to rest in, outdoor space for the dog to run around, and barbecue in the evening, the day went by quickly even without making a packed itinerary.
