In short
Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch (짬뽕지존 서오릉점) is a jjamppong-focused Chinese restaurant on Seooreung-ro in Deogyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi. At Jjamppong Jijeon, the writer ordered sujebi jjamppong (spicy seafood soup with hand-torn dough), jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), glutinous-rice tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) and jjamppong mandu by tablet. Rice at the self-bar was free, and every dish arrived at once. The spicy sujebi jjamppong and chewy glutinous-rice tangsuyuk were the standouts at this Seooreung Chinese restaurant.

Jjamppong Jijeon (짬뽕지존)

I was looking for a hearty meal near Seooreung and ended up at Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch (짬뽕지존 서오릉점), a Chinese restaurant worth knowing about in the area.

Where is Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch, and is there parking?
Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch is a jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) specialist on Seooreung-ro in Deogyang-gu, Goyang, and yes, parking is available. This place is known for its many jjamppong options, and I enjoyed sujebi jjamppong, jjajangmyeon (noodles in black bean sauce) and glutinous-rice tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) to my heart's content~ It's right on Seooreung-ro, easy to reach, with parking, so it's a great spot for a family meal or a stop on a drive!

Tablet ordering and free rice at the self-bar
At Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch, you browse the menu and order on the tablet at your table. Just look through the menu on the tablet and order at your ease :)

At the self-bar, you can also help yourself to free rice.

How does Jjamppong Jijeon's sujebi jjamppong taste?
The sujebi jjamppong at Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch uses chewy sujebi (hand-torn dough flakes) instead of regular noodles, in a spicy, rich broth packed with seafood and vegetables. All the dishes we ordered were ready at once, and the first one I dug into was the sujebi jjamppong! With chewy sujebi instead of ordinary noodles, it had a different charm, and the spicy, deep broth loaded with seafood and vegetables made my stomach feel instantly better with the first bite. The sujebi kept its springy texture and went really well with the broth. No wonder it's one of Jjamppong Jijeon's signature dishes ♥︎

How many people does the glutinous-rice tangsuyuk feed?
The glutinous-rice tangsuyuk at Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch is generous enough for 2–3 people to share. You can't have Chinese food without tangsuyuk, right? The glutinous-rice version impressed me with its crispy coating and chewy texture. Bite in and the meat is juicy, and with the sweet and sour sauce I just kept reaching for more. The portion is generous too, so it's great to share if you come with 2–3 people~!

Jjajangmyeon and jjamppong mandu on the side
The jjajangmyeon we ordered alongside at Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch came topped with plenty of rich black bean sauce.

Sweet and nutty in perfect balance, it's a flavor anyone can enjoy without hesitation! The noodles were springy too, and alternating between it and the sujebi jjamppong was extra satisfying. The jjamppong mandu (dumplings) were a treat as well.
