Incheon Nonhyeon Japanese restaurant: Fukuoka ramen and onigiri set
In short
Hongdae Gureume Incheon Nonhyeon Branch is a Japanese restaurant on the 2nd floor of the I-Flex Building near Incheon Nonhyeon Station. Visiting as a pair, the writer ordered the ramen and onigiri set with Fukuoka-style broth and an extra tasty egg, plus the signature mountain-high Aso Mountain pork loin katsu, and both the milky Fukuoka tonkotsu broth and the towering katsu delivered. Hongdae Gureume works just as well for solo dining, lunch or a date.

In this post I'm introducing a Japanese restaurant in Incheon Nonhyeon that's so good it's earned the nickname "Fukuoka you can walk to"! Hongdae Gureume Incheon Nonhyeon Branch (홍대구루메 인천논현점) ( ・ᴗ·̥̥̥ ) Everyone there was so kind and the food was delicious — let's get into the review! ~~₊·*◟(˶╹̆ꇴ╹̆˵)◜‧*・
Where is Hongdae Gureume Incheon Nonhyeon, and is there parking?

Hongdae Gureume is on the 2nd floor of the I-Flex Building near Incheon Nonhyeon Station! It's close to the station and parking is available!!
Maybe because so many businesses share the building, even though the parking garage goes down to B3 it was pretty congested and hard to find a spot @_@@@ Still, the parking facilities themselves are well set up haha.

When you get off the elevator and face forward, it's down the corridor on the left!

Right at the entrance it says "Fukuoka-flavor Hongdae Gureume" in big letters

I heard the head chef at Hongdae Gureume trained at Hattori Nutrition College in Tokyo, which made me even more excited to taste the food haha!!
Waiting seats and the atmosphere inside Hongdae Gureume

There's a separate waiting area right by the entrance, and it seems like there's often a wait — luckily I didn't have to wait! Still, almost every seat was taken except one or two. This place is really popular haha.

Hongdae Gureume seems great for solo dining, for office workers grabbing lunch nearby, for a date, or for coming with family or friends — the customer base really seems to span everyone.

The walls are lined with photos of Fukuoka tourist spots, so I found myself going "oh, I know this place," reminiscing a bit haha, and it kind of made me want to travel.
How varied is the menu at Hongdae Gureume?

This is the Hongdae Gureume menu. There's ramen (with different broth bases — Kumamoto-style, Korean-style, and Fukuoka-style), kaisendon, tonkatsu, cold soba, bite-sized sushi, regular sushi, and donburi set meals. It really feels like every category of Japanese food is covered. On top of that, the set combinations all differ, there's a lunch special during the day, and there's a separate Sandeomi (mountain-pile) series of set meals — it took forever to decide what to order haha. There were two of us, but we wanted to try a bit of everything!!

After a huge amount of deliberation, we ordered the ramen+onigiri set with an extra tasty egg, and the Sandeomi Aso Mountain pork loin katsu! Both turned out so delicious we felt like we'd chosen well.

Aprons and hair ties were provided at the table too. Places that have hair ties feel so thoughtful haha.
While waiting, you can also pull a little fortune slip for fun with words of comfort and luck!! It had this healing kind of message on it haha — even though today's sweat was heatwave sweat, it still put me in a good mood~~~

Now let me introduce what we ordered!
Aso Mountain pork loin katsu: how big is the portion?

Sandeomi Aso Mountain pork loin katsu

The Sandeomi katsu, basically the signature dish of Hongdae Gureume, comes out with pieces of katsu piled up like a mountain — it's visually overwhelming, and the portion is just as huge as it looks.

Even eating several pieces, it never felt greasy or heavy — soft and crispy and really tasty!!
The Fukuoka-style ramen and onigiri set with an extra tasty egg

The ramen+onigiri set, served with onigiri (rice balls)

You can choose between Kumamoto-style, Korean-style, or Fukuoka-style ramen, and I went with the Fukuoka-style. The milky broth, similar to tonkotsu ramen, is the Fukuoka-style version!
Here's a look at the different ramen types!!

I ordered just by glancing at the kiosk and didn't realize the egg was already included, so I accidentally added another one and ended up with two (which actually worked out great haha) — chashu, tasty egg, bean sprouts, and scallion all come standard!

The onigiri paired nicely with sips of the broth too haha. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and the staff were genuinely so kind!!
