From the moment the sauce starts bubbling, a rich, savory aroma fills the air with not a hint of funky smell. Best of all, the chewy texture when you bite into the beef tripe was truly excellent. It was packed generously with gopchang fat too, so the savoriness spreads through your mouth with every chew — it made me think, "Why haven't I been eating tripe all this time?" My wife actually loves beef tripe a lot, but since I always avoided it we rarely got to eat it, and now I totally regret that haha.

2. Springy octopus and shrimp in the same pan

The octopus and shrimp had no fishy taste at all, so fresh that they were springy with every bite. The special sauce, simmered down without being overpoweringly spicy but still nicely fiery, soaked into every ingredient — an absolute rice thief.

Especially the perilla leaf + mayonnaise combo — the best, the best!!!

3. The sauce at Gungmin Nakgopsae that begs for beer

There's no way beer can be left out with this broth and ingredient combo! We ordered a cold beer, clinked glasses, and took a sip — the spiciness and savoriness in my mouth got washed away cleanly, and it just kept going down endlessly.

While waiting for the food to boil and looking around the restaurant, I spotted a photo that caught my eye.

It was a visit photo of the 'Osaka Ojo-gang' team from Street Woman Fighter 3 (SWF3), a group I genuinely loved watching haha. Since they're dancers I used to cheer on while watching the show, it felt oddly exciting and surreal, like running into someone I knew far from home :)

It made me think that celebrities really do find good restaurants on their own, and my confidence in this menu choice grew even more. If you're a fan of dance, you might find a little thrill visiting here too. I even spotted a Tanaka-san autograph haha.
