Where is Sushi Doku The Songdo, and what are the opening hours?

Sushi Doku The Songdo (스시도쿠 더송도) is on the 2nd floor of Onesta Mall, 157 Songdogukje-daero, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, South Korea. It's about a 5-minute walk from Tekeunopakeu Station, and the Onesta Mall underground car park gives you 2 hours of free parking with registration. It's open 11:00-21:00, with break time from 14:30 to 17:00. I went on a date here and had the Premium Sushi Set, and it was delicious and so stylish!

Sushi Doku The Songdo is in Onesta Mall, which connects to Songhyeon-a. The location is easy to get to, and it's easy to head somewhere else after eating, so I think I could drop by again and again :)

What are the atmosphere and seating like at Sushi Doku The Songdo?

We went right at opening time, and the big main hall was already almost full. That made it hard to take photos of the overall atmosphere. I did notice some room-like areas too, so it would be good to request one when you book.

Sushi Doku, one of Seoul's best-loved sushi places. It's not exactly a secret, but I've known Sushi Doku since the days when it had only a few branches in Seoul, so how nice is it that it has now come to Songdo in Incheon and I can enjoy it easily..:)

The most popular item at Sushi Doku The Songdo is said to be the Premium Sushi Set (₩25,900), so that's what I ordered. The event is pretty generous too. If you save the restaurant on Naver Place and write a receipt review, you get a free otoro (fatty tuna belly) sushi!

Is the Premium Sushi Set a good choice for a date?

The Premium Sushi Set at Sushi Doku The Songdo comes out with a plate full of food, and it puts you in a good mood from the moment it arrives. Ta-da! With such a solid lineup, it's easy to recommend as a Songdo restaurant. I stopped by with my husband as a date, and a full plate with just-right colors and presentation was perfect for a date.

What comes in the Premium Sushi Set?

The sushi looks high quality, right? True to the "premium" name, the sushi lineup is decent.

My motto is to always enjoy my food, but as a kind of diet (blood sugar management) I always dig into the salad first if there is one, haha

I hadn't had chawanmushi in ages.. It was a bouncy steamed egg custard with shrimp and ginkgo nuts in it.

What order should you eat the sushi in at Sushi Doku The Songdo?

At Sushi Doku The Songdo, the server told us to eat in order starting with the white fish, working down to the salmon, so we ate exactly that way! They also gave us a brush for putting soy sauce on the sushi.

A half udon that's more than a side dish

The half udon that comes with the Premium Sushi Set is seriously good too. It made me think of my kids.. they love sushi and they love udon, so I'll bring them next time. There's a piece of fish cake in the udon like this, and what moved me is that it isn't there just to fill out the set! Every single item in the set tasted good and looked carefully made.

Glossy and gleaming, the satisfying sushi was done! I finished the meal with warm, crispy tempura.

Is Sushi Doku The Songdo worth a return visit?

Considering what you get, the Premium Sushi Set at Sushi Doku The Songdo was well priced, and the atmosphere and service were good too :) Parking is also convenient, with plenty of space in the basement of the same building, and you can walk on to Songhyeon-a or Triple Street afterwards. I highly recommend it as a Songdo, Incheon restaurant worth stopping by.
