What kind of bar is Rosetta near Hapjeong Station?
Rosetta is a painting-themed cocktail dining bar on Eoulmadang-ro 5-gil near Hapjeong Station. While looking for an atmospheric date spot near Hapjeong Station, I visited Rosetta, which offers artistic cocktails and dining inspired by famous paintings.
This place has built a word-of-mouth reputation as a Hapjeong Station bar known for its sensory interior and refined menu, and it's popular with people nearby looking for a special space thanks to the outdoor terrace atmosphere under the red awning.

At Rosetta's open-air terrace seats, you can enjoy a cool breeze and the relaxed feel unique to outdoor drinking, making it a perfectly fitting date spot for that Hapjeong terrace mood.

Inside Rosetta: the interior and bar tables
Walking into Rosetta, the classic, antique interior catches your eye so much that it feels like stepping into a work of art.

Antique standing lamps, a substantial bar table, and a wall lined with a diverse whisky lineup blend with the soft lighting to create an even deeper mood.

Two signature cocktails inspired by famous paintings
Rosetta's biggest feature is that you can taste signature cocktails mixed with inspiration drawn from world-famous paintings.

The two cocktails ordered that day were Summer Sunshine and The Water Lily Pond.
The Water Lily Pond, garnished with celery pickle
The Water Lily Pond was a cocktail with a grape-skin-flavored wine base blended with fruit and herbs, delivering a freshness as if nature had just taken a breath.
The celery pickle served as a garnish worked as a clean palate cleanser, letting me enjoy the drink in an even more varied way.
Summer Sunshine, topped with a gim (seaweed) cookie
Summer Sunshine was a cocktail with a refreshing feel, combining fragrant yuzu, lemongrass, and the crispness of pear with cool carbonation.

The clean, refreshing taste that brought to mind a sea breeze was impressive, and the sweet-and-salty flavor and crunchy texture of the nori cookie garnish made for an exquisite match with the drink's flavor.

The owner was also really kind and fun, so I lost track of time enjoying myself there!
If you're looking for a special cocktail bar or whisky bar near Hapjeong Station or Hongdae, I highly recommend visiting Rosetta, where you can experience real depth of feeling.

Rosetta is a place that has it all: delicate interior, cocktails that bring famous paintings to life, and food of an excellent standard. Both the owner and the chef welcomed me with such care and kindness that it made the time there even more enjoyable.

Food at Rosetta: sweet pumpkin chorizo gnocchi and cuttlefish ragu linguine
The sweet pumpkin chorizo gnocchi and cuttlefish ragu linguine ordered as food at Rosetta also showed excellent execution.

The sweet pumpkin chorizo gnocchi combined a soft, sweet pumpkin purée and crème fraîche base with potato gnocchi that was crispy outside and chewy inside, delivering deep savoriness.
A touch of chorizo oil added on top balanced the flavors cleanly, without any heaviness.

The cuttlefish ragu linguine was a dish of organic squid-ink linguine noodles topped with a cuttlefish tomato ragu sauce, broccolini, and sheep's milk cheese.

The chewy bite of the cuttlefish and the deep, rich flavor of the ragu sauce stood out, and it also paired wonderfully alongside the signature cocktails.
Is Rosetta a good Hapjeong date spot?
I had such an enjoyable experience near Hongdae! The classic music flowing through the whole space blended with the sensory lighting to stir the mood the entire time. Thanks to the story behind every cocktail, the conversation never stopped, and thanks to food that showed the chef's care, both my eyes and my mouth were happy the whole time. If you want to spend a memorable night in Hapjeong, Rosetta is definitely a top choice.
