If you're wondering where to take the kids in Incheon on a weekend, here's an unusual science-and-magic show I'd like to recommend. I went to see JT's Back to Joseon (마술사 제이티의 백투더조선) at Incheon Children's Science Museum.
Where is the performance hall, and how is parking?

The hall for JT's Back to Joseon is on the first floor of Incheon Children's Science Museum. You can park in the outdoor lot or the underground lot, and if you pre-pay it comes to about ₩2,000.
What is the story of Back to Joseon?

The magician JT and Toto use magic to travel back in time to the Joseon era, and the adventure begins! Not just a magic show: a fun and educational traditional magic show packed with lively fusion traditional music, entertaining folk games, and plenty of sights and activities that make your shoulders move all on their own❗

The moment we walked into the hall, the kids' eyes started sparkling. JT's Back to Joseon isn't just a magic show. It combines magic with storytelling set in the Joseon era.

For kids who love magic shows, JT's Back to Joseon at Incheon Children's Science Museum offers lots to look at plus a traditional magic show, a fresh experience. It's a great weekend outing with children in Incheon.

Before the show starts there's an initial-consonant quiz (a Korean word game based on first letters). We all answered together, shouted our heads off, and took in the sights on stage.

Can kids go up on stage and take part?
It's an interactive show, so parents and kids from the audience get brought up on stage for experiments and magic. It's a family show where you can enjoy the magic together with your parents.

The kids were having such a good time that they couldn't take their eyes off the stage, and I was proud of how well they focused. Partway through, kids can go on stage and try traditional games themselves, like archery and tuho (traditional arrow-pitching), which I loved.

Toto comes out in the middle and hands coupons to the kids who participated most, and these can later be exchanged for a magic tool gift.

The floating box trick
The box JT climbed into floated up and drifted around, which was so amazing.

Is it a family show adults can enjoy too?
JT's Back to Joseon is a magic show moms and dads enjoy as well, so I recommend it as a weekend outing with kids in Incheon.

The quality of the magic is fun even for adults, which makes it perfect as a family musical-style magic show.

The hour with JT and Toto flew by. It was our first time, and it was fun and worthwhile for the kids. Even after the show ended, they kept saying, "How did he do that? I want to see it again!"

Seeing the show and the exhibits together at Incheon Children's Science Museum
I think the museum's big plus is that kids experience science like play instead of struggling to learn it. Combine the show with the exhibits and you can easily fill half a day or more, so I recommend it as a family weekend outing.

If you're looking for things to do with kids in Incheon, sights in Incheon, or a children's show, JT's Back to Joseon looks like a choice you won't regret.

The most fun: full-moon ball throwing
I think the full-moon ball throwing was the part where I had the most fun and joined in hardest. Watching the balls roll all over the place, the kids and I were giggling away.

The kids were completely hooked on the amazing magic, and watching them have fun made it a satisfying day. If you're wondering where to go with kids on the weekend, I recommend JT's Back to Joseon at Incheon Children's Science Museum.
