Steel Green Bakery, a large bakery café in Seonggeo, Cheonan

What kind of bakery café is Steel Green Bakery in Cheonan?

Steel Green Bakery (스틸그린베이커리) is a big bakery café in its own standalone building in Seonggeo, Cheonan. The car park is large and there is even an elevator, so you can go without worrying about finding a spot. As the name says, there is lots of bread, so it's a great place for a morning brunch too.

The weather is only going to get hotter from here. This is the time I like to go to a cool café, read, study and just take it easy, and Steel Green Bakery is such a roomy bakery café in Cheonan that it's fine with kids and good for the whole family.

Order on the 1st floor, then sit on any of floors 1 to 3

You order at the counter on the 1st floor, then take your buzzer up to whichever floor you like. The really spacious 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors all have floor-to-ceiling windows, so you get a green view. It's truly "steel green" just like the name!

How many kinds of bread does Steel Green Bakery have?

The 1st floor of Steel Green Bakery has a wide display of bread. Every time I go there's a different kind, so it's a great Cheonan bakery spot to enjoy with a drink.

It opens at 10am, so you can visit early, and with so many kinds of bread I try something new every time.

When we went, quite a few people were just buying bread to take away. If I lived nearby, I'd want to stock up on bread too.

So much bread, right? It's a really big Cheonan bakery café. There are tasty breads and baked sweets, plus sandwiches, so it seems like a good stop on a weekend morning family outing.

From salt bread to butter tteok, the fun of picking

Steel Green Bakery has an especially wide range of salt bread! The plain one is good, but with so many flavors side by side, picking is part of the fun.

I first found it by chance while looking for a Cheonan café with a big car park and no parking stress. It's also near an acquaintance's home, so it's easy to meet up there with the kids.

Looking at these photos makes me want to eat it all again. There's butter tteok (butter rice cake), which has been trendy lately, and even chocolate butter tteok. I told my child to pick a bread, and something caught their eye! I'll show you that one soon.

Oh, and besides the made-to-order drinks there's also freshly squeezed juice, so there's a wide choice. I like this kind of juice myself, and it's perfect when you don't feel like coffee but still want bread.

Warming a ciabatta sandwich in the self-serve oven

After you order bread at Steel Green Bakery, there's a self-serve oven where you can heat it to your liking. I ordered a ciabatta sandwich, and since they recommended warming it, I heated it in the oven.

What did we eat for weekend morning brunch?

On a weekend morning at Steel Green Bakery, we had a hearty brunch of a bagel sandwich, a ciabatta sandwich, Sangha Farm ice cream, a café latte and a strawberry latte. With sandwiches available, it works as a breakfast substitute, which makes it a good place to visit.

I come by from time to time, and there are always new menu items. This time it was the bagel sandwich. The fresh fruit goes in completely whole!

We ate the Sangha Farm ice cream we ordered, plus the café latte and strawberry latte, together with the bread that morning. We all know sandwiches and coffee are a great match, hehe.

I also like that the ice cream at Steel Green Bakery is Sangha Farm. It's one I like anyway, and it's good to give to my child here, so we end up having it often.

See the whole fruit inside the bagel sandwich? The chewy bagel and the fresh cream are awesome, but the whole fruit in it was what really amazed me.

And the whole corn kernels go in as they are, so it's nutty and tasty. This one is a perfect match with coffee too.

With the strawberry latte my child picked plus the ciabatta sandwich, we really enjoyed our brunch, skipped lunch and went straight to dinner. The bread is so big that the two of us were shocked finishing it all. Next time I shouldn't get greedy and order so much.

It's in Seonggeo, a Cheonan bakery café in a standalone building with a large car park. It seems like a good place to visit with family on a weekend.

2nd-floor seating with indoor landscaping at Steel Green Bakery

What are the 2nd and 3rd floors of Steel Green Bakery like?

The 2nd floor has indoor landscaping that gives a strong steel-green feel, and the tables are wide and well kept, so it's pleasant to use. It was crowded, so I only took a quick photo.

3rd-floor seating with a big screen at Steel Green Bakery

On the 3rd floor, where I sat, there's a big screen and music playing, but it's calm and not noisy, so it's a nice place to rest for a while. The tables are really roomy, so I often come with my child and we each study or read there.

Stairs and elevator on the 1st floor of Steel Green Bakery

An elevator makes strollers easy

Right next to the ordering counter on the 1st floor there are stairs, but there's also a separate elevator in front of them, so moving between floors shouldn't be a problem. Quite a few people come with a baby and a stroller ^_^
