Milk bingsu and drip coffee from the Wonz Coffee menu

Here's the drinks and dessert menu board. Among what looked like the signature items, I went with the milk bingsu (shaved ice dessert) and a cup of drip coffee.

Next time I'd love to try the basic bingsu and mango bingsu too, not just the milk one. This place is seriously bingsu-worthy... solid, solid, solid !!

Wonz Coffee's milk bingsu piled high with milk ice and no toppings

No toppings, just milk ice: how Wonz Coffee's milk bingsu tastes

Seeing the visual of the milk bingsu, it's just milk ice piled up neatly and generously, no toppings at all — genuinely surprising just to look at. It comes with nothing but a heaping mound of ice, and the first spoonful floored me.

It melted the moment it touched my mouth, and the milk ice itself was so sweet that I didn't need to add anything else.

A spoonful of fine milk ice particles

Thanks to the fine, delicate ice particles that spread smoothly instead of clumping, the flavor got richer the more I chewed. The nutty, sweet flavor of the milk itself lingered gently all over my mouth, so it never got tiresome and I kept going back for more.

Even the ice on its own wasn't bland at all — the deep, sweet milk flavor carried through to the last bite, and I finished it feeling great.

What does Guatemala Waikan drip coffee taste like?

Wonz Coffee's coffee had that distinct, clean bean character alive in it, and I was impressed from the very first sip. Tasting it, there was no heaviness — a clean body with a gentle acidity layered in, and it went down really smoothly.

The nutty, fragrant aroma of the beans lingered gently throughout, filling my mouth, and savoring it was genuinely enjoyable.

Guatemala Huehuetenango drip coffee

It's Guatemala Huehuetenango, and you really do get exactly that flavor?! This carefully brewed cup felt like it rinsed and reset my palate, cleanly.

A bite of sweet, cool milk ice followed by a sip of clean drip coffee — the dessert pairing was absolutely perfect! Wonz Coffee feels like coffee you can't find anywhere else ~ ^^
