When you want a bit of breathing room in a busy day, nothing beats a good cup of coffee and something sweet in a bright, open café! I like wandering big shopping malls sometimes, haha. East Pole near Guui Station is especially quiet on weekends and easy to enjoy at a leisurely pace, so I go often ~ On the basement level of East Pole there's a modern, comfortable café, which is why I ended up here — Center Coffee Guui East Pole.

Where is Center Coffee Guui East Pole? East Pole B1 by Guui Station Exit 3

Center Coffee Guui East Pole sits in the East Pole building right by Guui Station Exit 3, so it's really easy to get to ~~ And since the basement level has plenty of restaurants, it's a great stop right after a meal!

I also came by for coffee after having a solid lunch ~

What is the room like? High ceilings and wide table spacing

Thanks to the high ceilings, Center Coffee Guui East Pole felt open and airy. The seats also have generous spacing between tables, which made it great for chatting with a friend haha. It has a modern, clean feel overall, with wood-toned furniture adding warmth ~

And since the space is fairly large, if you come with a young child there's room to park a stroller beside you! For families it can be tough to be out and about outdoors, so this is a good option if you're looking for indoor space ~~

It also felt like a nice spot for a date, or for studying or relaxing alone ~! After settling into a seat I liked, I headed to the counter to order!

Posting the menu board just for reference ~ Orders are placed at the kiosks in front of the counter (two of them)! Looking at the kiosk and the clean menu board next to the counter, the lineup was packed, true to Center Coffee's style — from a varied specialty pour-over bean selection to their signature cream latte and seasonal drinks!

This is what I ordered!

Among the desserts there were also pavlova and mango cake, along with scones and cake on sale ~~ Pavlova is supposedly a crisp-outside, chewy-inside meringue base with added sweetness, so now I'm curious what it tastes like — I'll have to try it next time, haha!

They also sell drip bags and capsules, so coffee lovers can easily enjoy the same beans at home!

How the plum omija tea, iced Americano and Chicago cheesecake taste

My order came out! A buzzer let me know, and when I saw the coffee, tea, and cheesecake arranged so neatly on the tray with such a pretty look, I just had to take photos ~~ haha.

Since it's a drink for after a meal, I picked something that would help with digestion, and the balance of plum and omija (five-flavor berry) was great — refreshing and sweet, very easy to drink ~ Honestly, I had it on a previous visit too and remembered it being so good that I ordered it again, haha!

Iced Americano, 5,400 won

The iced Americano let the coffee's aroma really come through, probably thanks to good beans — clean with a nice weight to it ~~

Lastly, dessert time. Chicago cheesecake.

A slice of Chicago cheesecake on a plate

It had that nutty, cheesy flavor, but wasn't overly dense — the texture was soft. Not overly sweet, with a deep, rich flavor that paired well with the coffee's bitterness haha.
