Eosiljang mainly serves seasonal fish such as flatfish, rockfish, righteye flounder, sea bass and black sea bream. The assorted sashimi is made from whatever is in season, so it varies with the time of your visit and the catch, I was told!

Where is Eosiljang Sashimi Takeout, and is there parking?

Eosiljang is near Osan Port, close to Sol Beach Yangyang~ And I heard more locals than tourists come here..!

The building looks clean and the large parking area makes it easy to come by car haha. Above all, it gave me a strong feeling of honestly selling fresh sashimi!

It has been running for over 15 years and already has plenty of regulars. Doesn't that tell you they have consistently delivered good value and freshness? ♡

Sashimi cut to order: how was the quality?

Eosiljang doesn't slice the fish in advance; they prepare it as soon as an order comes in! So the sashimi was in really good condition~ The gloss on the fish is something else ^0^/ ♡

What's in the box: sashimi plus shrimp, abalone, ssam greens and seaweed

The generous spread impressed me all over again~ When I opened the Eosiljang box, it wasn't just sashimi; there were all kinds of sides too!

Fresh shrimp and abalone, garlic, chili pepper, pickled scallion (rakkyo) and lemon... all neatly packed haha. Ssam greens and seaweed came too, so it was easy to enjoy at home or in your lodging~ The slices were a good thickness and the aging was excellent, so it stayed quietly in my memory!

How to enjoy takeout sashimi

My favorite way was to put a piece of sashimi on a sheet of seaweed and add garlic and chili pepper! The chewy texture and the scent of the sea filled my mouth, and I was really satisfied~

The abalone was fresh with no fishy smell at all, and the shrimp was nice and springy haha. A piece of sashimi with a glass of soju and all the travel fatigue melted away!

Eosiljang had a range of options including flatfish, amberjack, flatfish and rockfish combo, and assorted sashimi. Prices seemed reasonable, and I was impressed by the generous portions~ A good-value Yangyang takeout sashimi spot, I have to admit it - ☆
